Detective Will Trent is standing in a Georgia convenience store, waiting on an obstinate Icee frozen drink machine. To the surveillance cameras and bored staff of the Lil’ Dixie Gas-n-Go, however, Will appears to be someone very different—the menacing ex-con Bill Black. Going undercover as Bill, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation agent is about to infiltrate the most corrupt town in the most corrupt county in the new American South. But first: his Icee.

Everything changes in one horrific instant, as all hell breaks loose at the Lil’ Dixie. A cop is shot. A bag of cash goes flying across the floor. A young woman disappears while a killer takes off in a battered pick-up truck. Within seconds, Will is in pursuit.

good read... if you follow trent and ga FBI

Love the Trent series. I enjoyed this novella. I am looking forward to the novel release date. This book is for readers that like coulters FBI series not all cops and robbers with a little love story added. Trent is one of my favorites looking for some happy endings for him.

Fast paced crime and drama ensues as Will Trent seeks to satisfy his sweet tooth. Once again Karin leaves me wanting more as well as
bitten fingernails. Her rhythmic word play, and attention to details has me hooked. I am looking forward to reading Unseen in a few

    An Action Packed Novella!

Atlanta’s crime writer, Karin Slaughter is back with her famous character, Will Trent with BUSTED, (6.5 Will Trent Series) a novella and prequel to her novel, UNSEEN. (I love Novellas)!

Detective Will Trent is an undercover cop as the ex-con Bill Black with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and is about to zoom in on the most corrupt town in the South—Macon, GA.

Readers will meet some crazy characters as an introduction to upcoming UNSEEN. Maw-Maw, a bigot and as quirky and evil as they come, a Lil-Dixie Gas-n-Go, a frozen Slurpee, an armed robbery, a motorcycle, lots of humorous one liners, wise cracks, sarcasm, and action packed! Readers meet Amanda, Trent’s boss and his partner, Faith as they investigate this corrupt town south of Atlanta.

I listened to the audiobook version narrated by Kathleen Early, and again an outstanding job, and would highly recommend UNSEEN, as well. Be sure and read Slaughter’s latest—COP TOWN, as was my first read by Karin (5 stars), and working my way back to read her previous books. Reading CRIMINAL (Will Trent #6) next! Yes, I am going backwards, as Slaughter is becoming my favorite crime thriller writer!

    New to this author

On number four , this was really fast and kept my attention. I like this author and will ttent. When you read a lot, you throw it down if it is not good, no matter what you paid for it. Hard to please I am and yes she does remind me of Coulter, more violent and hard hitting. I like them both.
