    HIGHLY Unique!!

Yes, this has the teen angsty vibe, but I immediately liked it because it was about something so different other than, "this boy doesn't like me." It was about the pain of a girl who lost of her dream of dancing. And her unusual friendship with her "crazy neighbor" that leads her to a life changing discovery. It was a very unique book and it sort of reminded me of the movie "Ink." So different than the rest of the "teen books" that are all about vampires and fairies. The characters were overall believable and I was highly impressed. I found it by complete accident and bought it due to the price. And found myself staying up all night all to read it. It's worth checking out and I hope you find it as enjoyable as I did!

    Fantastic read

When fifteen-year-old Brooke moves to a new village next to the weird, old lady, Crazy Carter or Cee Cee, everyone's talking about, Brooke knows to keep her distance while being polite, trying to blend in with everyone else. But something's happening. The old spinster keeps popping up in Brooke's dreams as Brooke's life starts to spiral out of control. Suddenly, there isn't just the strange dreams that keep sending Brooke a certain message; there's also the school throb, Blaze, she's had a crush on ever since he once defended her from a bully. Even though she has no idea why, Brooke starts spending time with the old lady, and finds she isn't as crazy as everyone thinks. In fact, Cee Cee is quite clever and she has a big secret she soon shares with Brooke in order to teach her to become what she's supposed to be. I thought Butterfly was a great read for teens, very well-written with a lovely heroine. Brooke has a strong voice and is very enticing, polite and loveable. I particularly liked the plot that focuses on magic and the paranormal with a great twist. The story drew me in from page one and was a page-turner. I really enjoyed the story and would recommend it to both teens and adults.

    Series!?

Overall I really enjoyed this book, even as an adult! Don't let the first couple of chapters of wordy teenage angst and slang discourage you from the heart of the book. I liked the refreshing, new take on the paranormal scene. Thank you for not writing another book about vampires! I fell in the love with the characters and would love to read more about them. I would also like to see how things work out for Brooke as she now knows what her job and future life holds. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in young adult fantasy. It is a quick and highly captivating read!
