Overview

Butterfly Wings is a gripping story of obsessive love and the forbidden desires that two people cling to.

Mag Cross rigidly observes two taboos: Don't go back to modeling in any form; and don't get involved with a man who promises love and immortality, then nearly kills you.

Enter a mediocre salesman, mental gamesman and brilliant artist. Serge Monarch flaunts all taboos in the search for his artistic and personal vision of perfect beauty. Unfortunately for Mag, he decides she's it. He ardently pursues her, as an objet d'art and an object of desire. With him he brings all the temptations and follies of her past: modeling, sex, mental games, mystery, illusions, even love. Slowly Mag drives herself to desperation and to her former self-destruction. Serge, caught between his love for Mag and his insatiable desire for perfection, relentlessly tries to remake her into his ideal. Mag must survive, must have his love. If she wins, she might sacrifice everything, but if she loses, she and Serge will live in a hell of their own making.

    Exciting New Author

Kristin's notel is a stunning literary debut. The metaphors that bind this unusual love story will shock some senses and stun ordinary lovers. This book can easily become a classic in our generation. To know this author, as I do, her brillance and writing style contain elements that many long-time authors can only dream of achieving. The screen play of this project is on the horizon. This is a book for your permanent library, for book clubs to review, and talk shows to analyze. In a word--extraordinary!

A Personal Journey to Self Discovery

I truly enjoyed this story of a woman's journey to identify and overcome her own demons in the pursuit of happiness. Her journey lead her to personal discovery about areas in her life that were negatively affecting her quest for happiness. Once she was able to accept and love herself, she was finally able to let others in and accept them for who they are. The metaphor the author used by comparing the main character's self discovery to the metamorphisis of a butterfly was a perfect fit. I look forward to Ms. Johnson's next book and will definately recommend Butterfly Wings, A Love Story to my friends. Bravo!
