Meet the Author

JT Pearson is possibly more myth than reality. It is widely believed that he has been around for thousands of years. Archeological digs have uncovered Grecian artwork that suggests that they prayed to him to cure ailments of the feet. Irish legend insists that JT Pearson is that movement in shadow that you’re not certain that you actually saw, or that image at the edge of your peripheral vision that vanishes when you turn toward it. In the upper Midwest of the United States people had claimed that they had several images of JT Pearson captured on film but they were all poor quality and eventually proven to be hoaxes. It is only recently that an artist rendering was discovered in the attic of an old convent that is believed to be authentic. President Richard Nixon had claimed before his death that JT Pearson was the specter that haunted his boyhood home, and quite possibly the reason that his mother left his father for a short time. Nestled among all of these legends and hearsay is the accusation that he is the author of this sight and responsible for the drivel that has been filling your head. Lawyers for JT Pearson advise that if you read his work you do so at your own peril and no form of compensation either monetary or otherwise will be offered for any injuries permanent or short term which are incurred within the pages of his stories. If you’d like to communicate with JT Pearson either burn a photograph of yourself and sprinkle the ashes into the wind at dusk or you may take the more conventional route at thehungryrobot2005@gmail.com P.S. look for novels coming in the near future. For now, please enjoy the many short stories that he has provided for you to read for free. Feedback is much appreciated.

    42 pages long

Ok read. I wish it had had an ending. I want to know what happened. Did the father live? Did they get to Duleth? Was the bakery a success? Did Mary and the policeman find love? Was there a packet of money hidden some where? What happened to the toad? Did a nice person or a serial killer pick them up? Did they freeze to death? The two ladies have a great sense of humor and imagination. Too bad the author stooped in the middle of what could have a fun book. I hate it when an author leaves me hanging.

This story is good. Another reader left a review saying that he wanted the answers to all of his question about how these women and their business turned out. The writer was using an intentional technique in which she means to have you focus more on the characters and their depth than every detail of more mundane aspects of the story. I very much like the way this story ends

    Short Story

The characters are engaging and left me wanting more of the story. I did not realize it was only 42 pages.

I loved Buying Tyme! It's like the show Seinfeld. Pearson takes what is normally a simple thoughtless process like driving to work and makes the event into something hilarious and adventurous. I quickly felt compelled to want to embrace the two women and find a way to help them. I loved the dynamic between the characters. It takes tremendous skill as a writer to make something that is generally mundane so enjoyable. I love the ending, the way you fade away from these two women that are still laughing in the face of their struggle, and still just trying to get to work. I can't say enough good things about this story.

A complete waste of time. No ending, but there was no story either. Waiting for the story to become interesting brings you to the end of the storystill waiting.
