Mr. Buzzacot, famous explorer, fisherman, hunter, trapper, and sportsman knew the camping business if any man ever has. He served 10 years in the United States army, 2 years in the British army in Africa, 3 years on one of the Artcic voyages, and 3 years on an Antarctic exploring expedition. About the author Francis Henry Buzzacott, born in 1861, was the ultimate outdoorsman and adventurer, serving in the British South African Expedition 1878- 9, the Antarctic Expedition 1879-81, Voyage to the Arctic1881-4, United States military 1885-93, Spanish-American War Campaign 1898. He was throughout his life an accomplished sportsman. He took his experiences in the camp and wilderness and started a business selling camping and hunting gear as well as publishing camp and wood craft books. He started in Chicago selling a camp stove which he invented, but later began making and selling nearly every article that a man could want or use in camp, whether his camp is to be in the Arctic regions, the tropics, in the sun-rise or the sunset country.
