EXCERPT:

Lily James climbed into her red Mazda 6 shielding her eyes from late afternoon sun. "Were are my glasses?" she said reaching up to check the case compartment above the rear view mirror. "Damn, where did I leave them now?”
She turned around to check the back seat and much to her relief, found the glasses resting on the middle seat. She scooped them up, put them on before backing out of her driveway and heading out. She had one stop to make before she went to the club tonight. Janelli's was an exclusive men's club and Lily was their number one exotic dancer. She drew a big crowd every night she performed which made both management and her happy.
She weaved the car through traffic heading towards the outskirts of town to a small dry cleaners and tailor shop. There was a parking spot right in front of the store and Lily deftly pulled into the space and hopped out of the car. A group of young men were hanging out on the corner.
“Hey Baby,” one of them yelled.
Lily looked up and gave them a smile. Halfway to the store, she dropped her car keys.
“Oops,” she said bending over at the waist to pick up the keys, giving the teenagers an eyeful of her long lean legs in her mini-skirt.
One of the bolder boys whistled. Lily grabbed the keys and strutted over to him. Before he had a chance to say another word, she grabbed his crotch and said. “Hmmm…I’ll like some of this in a few more years.”
The boys all stood around dumbfounded by Lily’s actions. She winked at them, turned around and walked into the dry cleaners. The bell chimes announced her entrance. An older Chinese woman who barely stood 5 feet tall poked her head out from behind the curtain in the back of the store.
"Hi Min" Lily said, taking off her sunglasses.
"I get for you," Min said and disappeared again. Within moments she was walking back towards Lily carrying a hanger with a white dry cleaning bag covering its contents.
Lily stood at the counter eagerly awaiting the reveal. Min was a master seamstress and no matter how plain an outfit Lily dropped off to her, Min made it sparkle for her. When she made it to the counter, Min slipped the bag up over the coat hanger revealing a stunning emerald green show outfit.
"Oh Min, it's absolutely beautiful," Lily said picking up the bra and thong. "So many crystals. I love it. You've really outdone yourself. Wait until the girls see this one," Lily said, reaching into her purse. She pressed a $100 bill into Min's hand.
Min looked down at the money. "Too much, too much," she said, trying to give the money back.
"Keep it Min. It’s worth every penny and it’s my birthday present to myself."
Lily slipped the plastic bag back down over the hanger and waving good-bye to Min, left the store. She put the outfit in the back seat and then hopped into the driver's seat. The boys from the corner were gone.
“All talk and no action,” she said chuckling.
