    Loved It!

Found this author by accident when looking for free fantasy books on my Nook. Found the Deacon trilogy and loved it! I like sci fi so i figured why not try this one. Needless to say I wasn't disappointed. Filled with action from page one to the end. If yoy like or love scifi, you have to read this. Cant wait to get the second one!

    FUN AND ACTION PACKED

Science fiction is not something that I usually read but it sounded like fun so I decided to give it a try and I am glad that I did. A fast moving action packed journey with fun and interesting characters. It was hard to put down and has some very funny parts that had me laughing out loud. Give it a try and see if if doesn't grab your interest in the first 30 pages.

    Thrilling book

Epic read. Love the fast pace, thrill seeking, adrenaline and humor that this book brings to the table.

Lex's life takes an unexpected turn when given a briefcase to deliver on his courier de job, that has people chasing after him. Now its a race against time to deliver his package while trying to stay alive at the same time.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the characters I met along Lex's journey. As much as I want to tell you more that happens along the way. I think you'd enjoy reading Bypass Gemini more, instead of me spoiling for you. I look forward to reading the second book of this series.... the anticipation is nearly driving me crazy.

    A great sci-fi read

This is a writer that desreves to make it big. His pace and sense of humor shine through, and unlike many sci-fi novels, he doesn't get too distracted by the science itself to tell the story. An excellent read for anyone even remotely interested in what the future might look like.

In Bypass Gemini, Joseph Lallo tells the story of Lex, a disgraced race pilot who gets entangled with events far beyond his ability to handle.

Why to buy this book: This scifi adventure keeps the protagonist jumping from one life-threatening situation to the next. It’s fun and easy to read with good tension and above average writing technique. The voice of the character felt unique and relatable, and the character experienced good emotional movement.

Why not to buy the book: Though the writing is solid overall, the author does indulge in infodumping page after page of descriptions on how the science works. Great for world-building; not so great for story pace. The author also would do well to learn that short paragraphs speed pace and that such formatting techniques make a big difference in an environment where a lot of readers are consuming the work on electronic devices. I also found a couple of amateurish speech tags like “responded.” One final note: I didn’t mind this too much, but I think some readers may find some of the plot to be a bit too convenient at times. If it bothers you when the protagonist happens to find the one person in the universe who can help him out of a jam at just the right time, you may dislike the book more than I did.

Bottom Line: It’s a well-written, fun scifi adventure. If you’re looking for a quick, light read, there’s no reason not to pick this one up. 4 stars.

    :)

I wanted to hate this book because the main character kept doing stupid stuff, but I just couldn't stop reading. Excellent character development even if I did want to kill them for being stupid.

    Enjoyable

Very entertaining read! I agree that the plot was a bit predictable at times, but that really only added to the entertaining ridiculousness of many of the situations. Besides, who doesnt root for an amusing underdog? :)

The plot was slow to start, but once it got in gear it was non-stop action until the end.
(thanks to an irrascible character and his pet "Funk"...part fox, part skunk).
I totally reccomend this book, and hopefully there will be a part two!

Starts off fairly decent then gets lost.

Once the story gets going, it quickly becomes contrived and predictable. Character is easy to like but the story quickly falls into absurd and unbelievable outcomes and coincidence. Nothing feels real after the first chapter or two. Still, if you like silly and nonsensical space comedy, I suppose it has some juvenile virtue. This story is clearly intended to foreshadow another, but I won't invest any further time into it.

    Excellent story...I thoroughly enjoyed it

Kudos to the author! A real page turner complete with flawed but lovable protagonist out to save the galaxy from the evil giant corporation. Think Lord of Rings meets Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy with a little Fat Boy Slim and a computer named Ma. Whatever you do watch out for the Funk. Read it, you won't regret it!

A fun read, full of fast action, but there were a handful of places where the story went where it did because the plot said it would, not because it would have happened in universe. Mercedes Lackey can get away with that, lesser storytellers, not so much. IMO.
