I think this book 'The Cabin Faced West' is a great book to read. Ann Hamilton, the main character, meets all kind people. I recommend this book to all fifth and sixth graders. You'll learn alot of facts about the colonial times, in the 1700'S.

    Cabin Faced West

There was a girl named Ann Hamilton. She was a pioneer. She had to move over the mountains from her best friend Margaret. There were two people in this book that you would really love reading about.
