Overview

When a desperate Eulalie Gibb comes to Rio Penasco to escape a murderous maniac, no one, least of all Eulalie herself, believes she'll find the love of her life there.

Eulalie, who grew up with her sister Pasty in her family’s traveling theatrical company in New York City, is almost prepared for life in Wild West—until she meets Nick Taggart. Then she’s pretty sure she’s come to the wrong place entirely.

As for Nick—who barely escaped a family full of managing females with his hide intact—even if he believed in true love, which he doesn’t, he can’t imagine his personal love being the prickly Eulalie Gibb. He likes his life the way it is: living with his jolly old uncle Junius and being a blacksmith in the uncivilized and blessedly remote town of Rio Penasco.

They both have a lot to learn.

Meet the Author

Award-winning author Alice Duncan lives with a herd of wild dachshunds (enriched from time to time with fosterees from New Mexico Dachshund Rescue) in Roswell, New Mexico. She’s not a UFO enthusiast; she’s in Roswell because her mother’s family settled there fifty years before the aliens crashed. Since her two daughters live in California, where Alice was born, she’d like to return there, but can’t afford to. Alice would love to hear from you at alice@aliceduncan.net. And be sure to visit her website: http://www.aliceduncan.net

My favorite Alice Duncan is One Bright  Morning.  But this is pretty good also.  The characters in her books are always outside the main stream and usually confronting  a problem that doesn't even have a name yet.  In this case stalking.  I don't think that's a spoiler they pretty much tell you what the problem is early on.   Anyway nice light read.

    Nice ook

Good storyline bit predictable but liked the fact there was not great detail about the bedroom scenes
