Gr 4-7-Each volume offers a brief look at the culture of a distinct Native nation and includes a few sidebars and captioned, black-and-white and color photos and reproductions. Caddo gives pronunciations of Caddo words within the text, and it is a relief to finally have a decent title about a Native tribe from Texas. Ohlone is the best of the three books-it's well organized and well written-although some oversimplification can be found in each work. The publisher's Web site is intended to act as a clearinghouse for links to other sites but was not working at review time. Despite this, each book will be useful for reports and is worth considering.-S K Joiner, Brazoria County Library System, Angleton, TX Copyright 2003 Reed Business Information.
