Long before Stephen King and Random House discovered the potential of electronic publishing, a professional organization of authors and publishers from around the world was quietly making inroads into this new venue. Members of EPIC, the Electronically Published Internet Connection, held a convention in Omaha, on August 25-27, 2000. Included in the weekend activities was an award banquet where the first International award - the EPPIE - was given to books in a variety of genres. Winners included author, Diana Kirk, who was honored for her thriller, A Caduceus is for Killing published by Hard Shell Word Factory. Kirk's Egyptian time travel, Song of Isis, won the Spectrum Award for best cover.
Diana Kirk writes a well-plotted and gritty medical thriller. You will be gasping for breath along with the doctor who gets inadvertantly drawn into this murder investigation. Read the beginning carefully, because you will need all of the clues presented.
