All Music Guide - Rick Anderson
The second volume in the Sequoia label's Cafe de Luna series starts off promisingly, with the ethereal voices and surprisingly robust beats of Alcyone's "Greatest Escape." Usually albums with the word "chill" in the title and pictures of sun-dappled ocean on the cover are long on gentle texture and short on beats, so this opening track is a happy surprise. Be patient, though, and you'll soon be rewarded with Joe Weineck's funky "Breakfast on Neptune" and Ginkgo Garden's downright rollicking "Journey of the Clouds," not to mention a gorgeous and trip-hoppy arrangement of the traditional Irish song "She Moved Through the Fair" by Alguímia and a nice jazz-funk workout by Althea W titled "Pacifist." In the context of these relatively muscular numbers, the gentler and less compelling tracks feel less like new age filler and more like a wise programming choice. Recommended.

    A true believer...

Listen to "Electronic Billiard Café", the vibe is amazing. Love the variety of sound and big beats. GREAT CD!
