An absolute page-turner! This is the fourth story in the Ascension series, and I have loved every one of them. Each story gets better than the last as you experience the destruction of Heaven as Hell takes over. This is definitely a must read for anyone who likes an Urban Fantasy story with a heroine who takes charge of the situation. I highly recommend that you read this series in order so that you have a better understanding of what is happening and why. I cannot wait to see what Ms. Reine has planned for the nest story.  Alpha werewolf Abel Wilder is missing. The entire pack has searched for him with no luck of his whereabouts. Rylie Gresham, his mate has gone into full panic because even she cannot find any trace of him, and she knows that the only thing that could have happened to his is that he was hidden from them by magic. She has to find Elise Kavanagh as quickly as possible. They know it has something to do with James Faulkner, and they have dealt with his interference long enough. It’s time to put a stop to James’s plans once and for all. Can they locate Abel and stop James from destroying the werewolf pack before it’s too late? Or will Heaven and Hell fall before they are found?  I received an e-copy of this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I read the first of Reine's books and fell in love with Seth and Rylie and Able. That was what, Eleven urban fantasy books ago? I don't like the title of this fourth in the Ascension Series amd there are a few problems that should have been caught in editing But the twists and turns Sara throws into this book like her others makes the reading fun. I even laughed out loud at a handfull of places in this one! Able's brooding exterier is very adorable in the ending of this one. I am moving onto the still afordable fifth in this series and am hoping that there is more story line for Seth. You never know who or what she will pull from the foundations set in the journey of her characters and I love that.

I started reading the Descent Series that's where you need to start to truly understand the significance of minor details that are quite major especially with recurring characters always popping up,the I suggest The Moon series, then the Chronicles of Cain and of course the stand alone novel that completes that series Next up is Of Wings and Werewolves which would bring you almost back to the beginning with Elise and James in the Ascension Series I must admit I haven't gotten around to the Office of Preternatural Affairs mainly because I want to do harm to Gary Zettel but if you've read in the order I did you'll understand and if all this seems confusing go to the authors website she has a guide to reading her novels in the correct order but trust me to truly understand appreciate the multiverse as the Author calls these groups of series you have to begin at the beginning waaay before hell on earth was Elise and James both quite human but still kicking ass the way only they can TOGETHER c'mon anybody else rooting for them with me if your not read the Descent Series before you pick up the next Ascension its more than worth it

I could not belive where Riley has to go to save her pack. Then when you think its over it's not. Looking forward to see what's next what does Nash know that Riley wouldn't like ?

Can't wait to read the next in the series. Glad to read about more Nash and Summer. I'm still not on board the Abel train, but there may still be some surprises on that story front. I guess I shall see if my hunches are correct on this one. So far I'm liking this series more than the Cain Chronicles, so I hope the good writing continues.
