booklovinjunkie( dot) blogspot( dot) com Krystal has done it again! I want to be part of this MacLaughlin family! I love how Krystal's heroines are so strong on their own. And Lina is no different, when we first met her , she holds a gun to Caiden's face.... I mean a girl can never be too careful right. Lina , running from a living hell knowing that any second hell is going to catch up with her. Caiden is on the run in his own way , he lost his love and now he is running from that feeling and to be hurt again. But when he meets Lina he knows he been caught, no more running. Now he has to make sure Lina is safe and no longer has to run from anything ever again. You will fall in love with this story and this family. They are so real, they have their good and bad moments. But it makes them human and not out of reach when you read. Can't wait to read the other books coming out with The MacLaughlin family.

You have to love a book where the hero of the hour isn't the hero but two dogs, and where cars are
as important as the secondary characters. This book the second in the series is another great read.
It's short but so well written you don't notice.
Loved Duke and King yes, those would be the dogs I mentioned, the belong to Caiden who as the oldest
sibling has the perfect character for it, there is something about these McLaughlin men they draw you
in and you can't help falling a bit in love with them, pity they are all being snapped up so quickly.
Lina is running and scared but still full of fight and sassy, not giving in but standing even through her fear,
the real thing is that she had to fight to get to that place, as we all do at times, but it makes her so much
more real and likeable.
Another enjoyable read with wonderful characters and a great story that is short but well worth it.

This is the second book in the MacLaughlin series and Caiden is the oldest of the siblings and has shut himself off from ever finding love again when a tragedy took his girlfriend from him two years earlier but then Lina Mathews, who has issues of her own, comes into the picture and she steals Caiden's heart from their first meeting- which involved a well aimed shot gun- again I feel there could have been so much more to their story and it ended too soon but it was a wonderful read all the same!

This story has it all. Love, action, and dilemma. Caiden is protecting his heart and Lina is protecting herself from a stalker. Can two strangers work together? They meet along the road with a flat tire and shotgun between them. And then things get complicated. I think you will enjoy this novella. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Caiden is the second story in the MacLaughlin Series. All the stories in this series are short stories, but that works for me. I really enjoyed reading Caiden and Lina's story.
Caiden is the oldest MacLaughlin brother. While out on a bid for the family business, he meets Lina. He falls for her quickly, and when he finds out she has a crazy stalker, he does everything in his power to protect her.
I loved both characters in this book. They were perfect for each other-from their immediate hot attraction to each other, to their love of cars. Another hot story by Krystal Shannan that I couldn't put down.

After reading Trevor's book, I had to read Caiden. I really loved how he helped his brother along in book one of this series and I was excited that he was going to find his HEA. I absolutely love that Caiden's story was completely different from Trevors. It kept me on my toes. Meeting Lina while on a work trip, Caiden and Lina are instantly attracted to one another. Unfortunately, everyone who tries to get close to Lina has had to deal with her creeper stalker. Filled with yummy goodness, suspense, and more of MacLaughlin awesomeness, this novella was a super fun afternoon read. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. The second novella in the MacLaughlin Family series is an erotic romance full of suspense and heat.
Leery of putting his heart out their again, Caiden MacLaughlin’s heart does a double take when he sees the beautiful Lena Matthews. Running scared Lena left home to avoid a man who’s determined to make her life a living hell. Will Caiden be her knight in shining armor or will her troubles drive him away like everyone else.
This fast paced plot is full of tension building suspense, romance and intense heat. The author brings the story to life with vivid images and great compelling characters. The attraction between Caiden and Lena explodes from the pages and the sex scenes sizzle with red hot passion. The author makes the reader feel as if they are part of the story and really know the characters by sharing great descriptions of their emotions, personalities and passion.
The MacLaughlin family captured the hearts and the imagination in Trevor’s story and the reader can’t help but be emotionally caught up in Caiden’s of course now we have to impatiently wait for Harvey’s and Lizzy’s stories.

The is the second Novella in the MacLaughlin Family series, and so far my favorite in the series. I have to say I love Lina we are introduced to her when she has a flat on the side of the road. She is no weak woman either, but we find out she has a reason to be cautious. I love her sass and how Caiden finds it attractive also.
Caiden is a protector and I love that about him, I also love his dogs. Him and Lina heat up the pages from the get go... They belong together.
This Novella is keeps you reading and is well rounded...There is a lot that happens to Lina in this book (warning of violence) but it is written very well written and Krystal covers all corners. My heart broke on how Lina's father treated Caiden, but everything turns out great in the end.
I can't wait to read more of this series and read the rest of the MacLaughlin's stories. Another quick but complete read from Krystal Shannan.

Caiden is not looking for love. After only knowing her for hours he knows that she is different. He can tell that he may want more with her. He soon finds out that she is in trouble. He automatically decides that he will be the one to protect her. When a friend of her family's unthinkingly leads the person after Lina right to her they find that they definitely have a situation on their hands.
Caiden is gun shy about love after losing a past love. Will he take a chance on him and Lina or will he let her go?
I loved, loved, loved this! The fact that this was a short book makes no difference in how good it is. I think that Krystal's writing especially the intimate scenes just get better with every book. As with all of her books I could not put it down. I definitely recommend reading this book. Can be read as a stand alone.
