Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Caillou is now a TV star and like many other book characters there are additional spinoff stories based on the screenplays. In this story Caillou who is in daycare is reminded by his teacher Anne, that there is a play today and they will be presenting it to parents and friends. First they get their costumes and while the costume box has many different ones, they have specific costumes for the roles they will act out. Caillou is the sun and Clementine is a flower while Leo is a rain cloud. It is a simple story, the sun makes the flower hot and thirsty and the rain cloud provides the needed water. They practice and then it is showtime. It almost goes off without a hitch, but regardless, it is a hit with the parents. The illustrations appear to be computer generated and there are additional items in each scene that kids can point to and name on their own or with the help of a caregiver. An adventure that young Caillou fans will enjoy. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
