Just from reading the sample, some of the advice on how to freeze, thaw, and cool a cake are not the best. I have taught cake decorating for over 13 years and have done cakes for longer. I personally would not reccomend purchasing this book if you are wanting beginners advice. Start with a hands on class, then you can take what you need out of books...ignore the things you would not do.
