I was very disappointed to see that the authors used at least half of the cake ideas from their previous book.

I borrowed this book from a friend and within the 1st week I had made 4 of the cakes in it. The recipes are easy to follow and pictures are excellent. I have bought the smaller book like this and it doesn't do this one justice. Not as much info, get the big one, it's worth the extra $8.00. Enjoy.

I just bought this book, and already I've convinced someone else to buy it! It is 'pretty', but also, has a wealth of information. I recommend it highly. This is a THICK book, filled with 'gourmet' looking cakes, character cakes, birthday cakes, baby shower cakes. It is well laid out, and the only disappointment I had (thus the 4 stars, instead of 5), is that there aren't any patterns for some of the more intricate 'colorflow/runouts'. So, you have to become resourceful...All in all, a great book, for a great deal. Hey, I showed it to my teacher, and she bought one too!
