Best Text On Calculus I've Seen

This older edition shows you how to do more calculus, with better examples, in the old way by hand than all other texts I've seen. I passed Calc 1,2, & 3 by doing work out of this text when the course text failed to show me how! If your course TA/tutor speaks only broken english or is of no help, this text may provide the example you need. Also, any serious math or engineering major will want this edition to keep forever as The calculus reference. The current fad of Stewart calculus texts are not worth keeping.

More Helpful then my assigned TEXTBOOK!!!!

I came across this textbook from another student, who had just completed his degree. I was beginning my calculus journey and found the textbook that I was using to be horrible!! My friend loanded me this textbook!!! IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!! There are many wonderful adjectives that describe this book. I would recommend it to anyone starting out in calculus or intenting to continue on in there studies of mathematics.

    A great text!

This is the first calculus text that I have liked! There are also ancillary Student Solutions Manuals, and Student Study Guides available. I found the Student's Solution Manual Volume 1 which covers chapter's 1-9 to be of great help. It has detailed solutions for most odd exercises.

It was the bestest favorite book I used.

Swokowski's mathmatical endeavours takes the reader through a world of calculus through a twisting and turning journey culminating in the evolution of a calculus based masterpiece for all times and ages to enjoy. All I know is that before I read the book, I thought I had it all figured out. Unbeknownst to me, I was quite ill in terms of my self-assuredness and this book brought that realization to light in a self-decimating portrayal that made me realize my place in the universe and my ultimate role.
