    Self-teacher's Dream

I read this book because I'd forgotten a lot of the calculus I learned in college. It's a great self-teaching tool with exercises at the end of each chapter. It does NOT read like a textbook and if you're a math geek, Gootman's writing style is actually interesting and engaging - not dry like a lot of books out there.

I think this book has helped me a little bit, but not quite. it should have explained more clearly, i think i was more confused reading this than the material in the College School textbook

    Simple and Precise!

I was struggling with Calculus 'til I got this book. It is not only easy to read but also avoids unnecessary contents that might confuse us. I trust BARRON'S and have used their books since my high school years.

Best book I have ever owned

I was struggling with Calculus 1. This book was a life saver. It helped when I had a problem understanding the course material. It would explain the theories in the simpliest terms. Buy this book.

    Enlightening

I am very much satisfied with the assistance I received from this book, my fears of Calculus had become something of the past. I would recommend this book to any student who will be taking Calculus for the first time, it serves not only as an excellent study aid but also as a way of staying ahead of the class.
