This charming, upbeat tale makes a perfect bedtime story for kids ages 3 to 6. Easy to follow, mildly fanciful, with humorous dialogue and a cast of lovable characters.

Olive is the story of a duck who wants to fly. She takes advice from all the farmyard animals, trying many ways of flying. She has fun, but is never satisfied. Finally a crow advises her to simply step off the top of the barn.

“I’m scared,” Olive says. “I don’t know how to fly. Don’t I need to get nervous? Don’t I need a balloon or a kite or a plane? Or something?”

“Nope,” the crow said. “All you need is you.”

A great, funny little story for all those kids with new Nook readers. The message in a nutshell: take a chance.

I was VERY disappointed! the story may be cute, but a child's book without even pictures?? I bought it for my 4 year old Grand-daughter so she could use it to help her with her reading.

This is not a Nook Color "Read to Me" book. That can be confusing if you look at the cover page. No pictures are included on the ebook version.
