About the Author

Kim was born in Waterloo, Iowa and grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. Educated in the Public School system, attended DMACC, and Simpson, and went into Administrative Assistant work. I'm married with two grown sons and have a beautiful granddaughter, Londyn, and handsome grandson Sonny. I had a cat growing up that my brother and I found as a kitten outside. Later a Peek-a-poo dog growing up. After I married, we had a Lab/Irish Setter mix, later had a Yorkie, then two sibling Morkies, ... after the passing of these wonderful pets, my husband and I decided to rescue this little guy named 'Lucky', then his name changed to 'Angus'. After his back surgeries and no home to go back to, he went through physical therapy and was ready to adopt out. When I read about him, I fell IN LOVE. I drove to Iowa City to pick him up. On our way back home to Altoona (now where we reside), he became St. Louis Weeks. Called 'LOUIE'. He is a friend to the entire neighborhood. He loves to travel and has gone to Wisconsin and Florida with us. We're retired now and can dedicate even more time with our furry little boy.
