When Rachel McCarthy finds herself alone on her birthday, it seems like a brilliant idea to ditch her cheating husband and go in search of a glamorous former lover working in the jungle. But her plane is shot down, bullets are flying, and—barring a miracle—it looks like she may not survive her quest to find true love. *

*****Treat Yourself
Ever wanted to escape your humdrum life and your disappointing significant other? Then you should go along with this heroine who does just exactly that. She runs off to the jungle to find the real love of her life. This book has humour, adventure, romance, suspense, and an exotic location. The leading characters are both believable and likable. And the action is unpredictable; you never know what is going to happen next. Call of the Jaguar is a treat.

*****A fun read!
Posted 05/06/11: This is the second book of this author's that I've read and I really enjoyed it. It's fast. It's fun. It's different. Short as novellas are, with a great sense of time and place, the author took me to a location I'd never experienced before and made it come alive!

*****What a Great Escape!
If you're looking for a fast romantic adventure to escape from the winter doldrums, this action-packed novella is it. A lot of women will identify with Rachel McCarthy's desire to swap her colorless existence for a life dedicated to love and noble causes. Beason always writes interesting, impetuous characters that are fun to tag along with.

*****Adventure and Romantic Suspense
Fast, fun read! Midlife crisis and a bad marriage combine to send the heroine to South America on the adventure of her life. Who can turn down a chance to read about a bad boy pilot, Mayan ruins, rebels, and hidden treasure? Or about re-connecting with an old flame once you've dumped the boring, philandering hubby? If you're looking for an escapist read with plenty of thrilling action, this is the book for you.

*****A STEAMY REUNION, BULLETS, AND STOLEN ANTIQUITIES*****
Many of us have wondered about "the one that got away." But Rachel searches him out in a Central American jungle local crawling with machine gun-toting rebels. A bush pilot flies her in. And nothing goes as planned. An adventurous romp complete with an escape and a watery plane crash. And Rachel does find love. I love this author's writing.
