Meet the Author

Books have always fascinated me. I can vaguely remember my older brother coming home from school and showing off his new books. Word recognition came easily and by the time I started school a year later I could read most of the books they set in front of me.

Life has a way of throwing you off balance. It did for me when at nineteen I became a mother for the first time. Plans for the future were put on hold, fading into dreams and later to what could have beens. I've no regrets.

My passion for writing came late in life. With my family reared and ready to leave home, I needed a hobby. It was a natural migration for this avid reader to pick up the pen, or laptop as the case may be, and begin writing. The result surprised me.

I guess I've always been a story teller, making up tales of epic battles with spiders and other nasty creepy-crawlies from an early age.

Callie is my first completed work of fiction, my baby isn't perfect; she's a vampire witch, an Enchantress and the result of an over active imagination. Everybody loves her, especially me.

    Never a dull moment

A must read for vampire novel lovers. The author puts a whole new spin on the vampire genre. The main character, Callie, will charm you but the other characters are equally enthralling.  I can't wait for the next one!

    great book

This book is about 470 pages. I normally dont read any books that dont have a discription or any reviews but i decided to go for it. Im glad that i did! This was a really good book. I would recommend this book to 16+ year olds. The beginning is a little unsettling but once you get past it the book is very good. It involves witched vampires and shifters and maybe a couple more supernatural creatures. Sorry if this wasnt a very good review but the book was good and i would givr it a chance.

    Full of surprises.

From a disturbing beginning to a well-spun story that captured me from the start, Ms Chapman's tale of Callie certainly captivates.

Callie herself is easy to relate to, but she's upstaged by Sidney on occasion, as supporting character Sidney injects refreshingly funny repartee into some of the more serious scenes.

Lucien, the energetic demon, will forever keep me wondering - Ms Chapman describes him so vividly that I could almost see him in my mind's eye. A disturbing demon indeed.

My biggest issue was that there were a couple of scenes that made me blush - I don't recommend reading these in the lunch room at work unless you want people to think you're reading Fifty Shades.

Overall, well worth a read - Callie is one of those characters you can't help but love.

    Great read

Callie and her sister are identical twins whose parents died and they become wards of Uncle George, a pedophile who murders his victims when he tires of them. At the age of 17 they kick him out and get on with their lives and try to forget the abuse. Callie is inadvertantly turned into a vampire to save her life and thus the real story begins. There are witches, vampires, shifters and goddesses all packed into an intriguing story that will keep you rivited waiting to see what happens next. Try it, you'll like it!

    Good book

Would have been much better if the author would have developed the story more. This story could have easily been 4 different books. Great read!

    Honestly

Honestly it was a good book not great, but good. Little bit of sexuality not much and it was 180 pages but i believe it should have ended aound the 90 page mark to continue into the seond book which could also be free but nah bruh. Whatever.all the events happen way to quickly and shouldve used more detail and length. The characters arent developed well and it seem like it was a quick write. It needs help. *little bit of spoilers here* in the book they just met and already they have fallen in love, he wants to touch her breasts and i think ( its not very clear) they had sex, all in the first 60 pages. After the so called fight or battle to get Sam back, a girl called Sophia shows up for Sam and thinks they are soul mates and she was obviously just thrown in the story to try to create excitment. Unfortunetly, its not exciting and Callie will obviously forgive him easily and forget. Also after the so called battle, a guy named Rink shows up. Random. It talks about his bulge and how they ( Rink and Callies twin, Addi) already want to get hot together. Not to mention the poor word usage. Its not bad but there are better words that couldve been used. I feel like i dont know the characters very well not muh description about them and they give almost no details about what they look like. To be honest I was going to give this book a 3-4 star rating but then i realized how messed up and unproffesional and just how bad this book actually is. I would not recomend this book. And if there is a second book i definently would not pay for it. -Steph

    Liked it

The beginning is not nearly as disturbing as other reviews are making it out to be and there aren't that many graphics either. Nor does it last long. BUT If it really bothers you THAT dramatically, you'd be happy to read the parts where he gets what he deserves. Before AND after his death.
The book was decent, a little young for my taste. It seems the twins act more like middle school teenagers someone's rather than their actual age. Not too bothersome though. The story isn't very deep but the development is good enough. I had no problem reading it to the end. Don't know if I'll read the next one though.

    Disturbing beginning...

The first part of the book was disgusting, and I stopped reading after a few chapters because I was so disturbed. Descriptions of Uncle George raping children was unnecessary. The author could have simply implied that Uncle George was a pedophile/murderer without the details, and the story could have been just as good without it. The beginning bothered me so much that I did not want to finish the story. Not my cup of tea....

    Not my favorite

This book was all over the place. I stopped half way through. The characters weren't developed enough for me to care what happened once it jumped to another storyline.
