    Another Tracy Fabre Winner!

If you've never read one of Tracy's novels, read this. If you've read any or all three of her other published novels, read this! Once you start I doubt that you'll be able to put it down. The first paragraph pulls the reader in for the duration. The first chapter introduces 10 characters, plus one dead one. A couple of bombshells are dropped into chapter two and another in chapter three. Early on the reader begins to wonder if, at some point, Callie's life may become endangered.

The author is obviously very familiar with the area, which lends authenticity to the setting. Although descriptions are vivid, they are worked into context rather than in long descriptive passages. Dialogue is pure Tracy Fabre--clever, believable. As in her other novels, the story is in first person and we know what the main character is thinking through her arguments with herself. The pace of the novel is right on, never rushed, never dragging.

Like the dialogue, the characters, situations and action are believable but creative. Just the right amount of tension is maintained throughout. Like the author, Callie is a lady and passionate romance is intensely conveyed without resorting to explicit descriptions of sexual adventures. In fact, rather than a novel replete with profanity, on page 132 we find, "Danny said something rude." A few lines later, "Danny repeated the word he'd said before...." Whoever said that adverbs are to be avoided in novels can look the other way; Tracy's use of adverbs is charming.

A romantic mystery novel, highly recommended.

Tracy Fabre Does Not Disappoint Her Readers - A Must Read

Tracy Fabre continues to intrigue the reader with her story-telling abilities. Callie by the Bay is Tracy's fourth published novel. The characters in this book have strong personalities as well as strengths. Callie is the main character and her strength is amazing. I love stories with strong female characters.

Tracy has a talent for drawing the reader into the story as if they were in the middle of the story, itself.

This book was a bit different from the other books Tracy has written. It has a family at the center of the story. The entire story deals with this family. It deals with love and betrayal as well as forgiveness and trials that plague the sanity of normal life.

I love the way this author goes into detail about the area which the story takes place. It gives the reader a sense of what it would be like to live by a bay.

Although I loved it, and recommend it to all readers who love a good story, I found myself skipping a page now and then to get on with the action in the story. It is an amazing romance mystery novel.

I am a big fan of Tracy Fabre's novels and will continue to follow them in the future. I have read and loved all four of her novels. I am anxiously awaiting her next novel to be published.

Tracy does not disappoint her readers with her novels. Each novel was different and unique. I felt like I was reading each book by a different author. I did not see the same style in any of the four novels. I loved all four of them.
