Excerpt:

When the clinic was finally shut down at six, the three men left inside all breathed a sigh of relief. Palmer worked on preparing schedules for the next day and tidying his workspace while Dr. Osmond and Michaels made sure everything was in order with their workspaces as well.

“Did anyone get your attention today?” Michaels inquired of his superior as they tidied up his office a bit.

Dr. Osmond smirked, glancing across the room to Michaels as he stocked more boxes of gloves in the compartments above his desk. “No, not today. Why?”

“No reason,” Michaels said with a careless little shrug as he emptied the garbage can into a large garbage bag he had.

Dr. Osmond moved away from his desk and sauntered over to Michaels, running a hand over the man's arm. “Were you hoping for a little something?”

Michaels pulled his arm back, taking a step away from the doctor as he set aside the garbage bag. “God, you're so full of yourself.”

The doctor raised his brow at the words, but persisted, sliding in behind Michaels and wrapping his strong arms around his waist. “Don't get cross with me, Nurse Michaels,” he murmured against the other man's ear, feeling Michaels tense in his hold. “We both know what you're looking for, and, as it just so happens, I may be in the mood to deliver.”
