As a voracious reader, it is a pleasure when a new book comes out from an author that you enjoy! If you have read the other books in the "chess" series, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this one. In addition to the story, I found the "origins of human cognition" theory fascinating. Particularly since the new movie "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" is set to come out which follows a very similar thread......

A good adventure

I recommend reading the other Chess Team books especially the most recent, Threshold. You won't be able to fully grasp the back-story without doing such. Even so, a great quick read.

This book has a very resident evil feel to it, which I like. A small group of people desperately fighting against horrifying genetically mutated monsters. My biggest complaint is that this is titled as book one, but it takes place well into the series. There is a lot of background thats important to the story, but I don't even know where the series begins. Apparentally there is a book 1 for each of a half dozen characters that takes place before this one.

Dawoud Abbasi, the terrorist leader planning to unleash Ergot-B, is his biological father.
Bishop, along with an ...
