    Calmed my soul

    This was an exquisite book.Worry, anxiety, stress, self-hatred and my resentments have all become "ancient relics" as Spirit has renewed my mind, body, and soul because of this truly wonderful book. A must read.

    This book reminded me so much of a similar gift I received, covering the same subject - "Little Gifts of Sustainable Contentment" by C.J. Good. Like "Calm my Anxious Heart," it is also passionate and insightful, fresh and spiritual. Celebrates the incredible joys of the human experience. Many writers try to capture life's universals... but C.J. Good truly succeeds in what is destined to become an indispensable resource in the self-help category. The writing is wonderful, and the fusion of good advice, thought-provoking ideas and human experience makes it a winner.

    Very life applicable

    A small group of friends met each week as we read this book together- we all enjoyed it from beginning to end. It was very applicable to our lives and ages in the group ranged from 30 to 60. Very good!

    Encouraging read

    I love Dillow's writing style. She shares her own struggles and points you to the Word with very thought. I would recomend reading this to any woman who is in a trial or has been throgh one. Its encouraging in so many ways.

    Highly recommended

    Linda Dillow gets right to the heart of the matter. We who proclaim the name of Christ often get caught up into the world's materialistic thought patterns. We begin striving for more and more and more. The author through Scripture and real life examples strips away the world's philosophy and points us to higher ways. She helps us keep our eyes on things from an eternal perspective. She also has an ease of writing that will draw you. You won't want to put it down.

    A Creative Counterpart is a source of encouragement and sage advice......

    I have two other books on the subject of becoming an "excellent wife" and this one is my favorite and the most easiest to read. As promised it delves into the subject of being a wife right in the first two chapters and it gets better after that. Linda Dillow hits the right tone of a loving, sister-in-the-Lord who speaks from her own personal experience without compromising the Word. She uses repetition to bring home the message of what God expects from a godly wife and she does it with humor. The twelve bible study lessons in the back of the book correspond with each chapter starting with chapter two. They are very well thought out and helpful. I highly recommend Creative Counterpart by Linda Dillow. It is making a difference in my life.

    Life-changing

    Calm My Anxious Heart is such an inspiring devotional that is truly life changing. Linda Dillow challenges the reader to take a look inside what is causing discontentment in their life. It gives inspiring stories of women who know what it means to bare the cross daily. Dillow examines Biblical principles that help women find God's joy in their lives. It encourages that God has a plan for our lives and an acceptance of this plan can allow us to be free of worry and allow us to find not only contentment, but joy. I was made aware of my own selfishness through her stories that begin each chapter. It is not a light read. It is thought-provoking, educational, and motivating. The end of the book provides discussion questions that will allow you to delve deeper into your own discontentment and assist you in understanding that true contentment comes from God. It is one of the most applicable devotionals that I have ever been through. Enjoy!
