About the Author

E. David Barton brings to the subject of human suffering a wealth of knowledge and personal experience. Born in Connecticut, raised in Massachusetts, educated (B.A. and M.A.) in New York and Washington, DC, respected as an educator in Linguistics and Psychology at colleges in the USA and Japan, he is author of textbooks in his field, inventor of linguistic hardware and software now being used worldwide, and founder and C.E.O. of two lucrative companies in California. Stunned by the accidental death of his son Paul in 1994, Barton felt driven to explore every area of human knowledge for answers to life’s most urgent questions.
