About the Author

EDWARD WOODFIN Associate Professor of History at Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA, where he won the Kathryn Amelia Brown Award for Excellence in Teaching. He earned a PhD at Texas A&M University and he was a Fulbright Fellow at the Australian Defence Force Academy.
