Since these books have been out of print for more than 60 years, it is no wonder the works of Stewart Edward White are not better known.

The active life was extremely important to White. Sportsmanship and chance were very much a part of his character. "If you do not life that sort of game, stay out of entirely," said White, the man of action.

This series of eight books imparts the feeling of the hunt and the land as well as the shooting.

    Good Camping Advice, Though Outdated

This book contained good camping advice for the time, but being that this book was published over 100 years ago, it is very outdated. Back then, if you went camping, you had to"rough it". Now, people stay in motor homes and lodges. Still, the advice was practical for the time and it is interesting to see how much different camping was back then. There are many errors in the spelling though, to the point that it can be very irritating. If you have an interest in "roughing it" outdoors, youd probably enjoy this.
