Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

Illinois outdoorsman Ted Villaire lives for outdoor recreation. He justifies that leisure by writing about it copiously in magazines such as Windy City Sports and Rails to Trails and books like his 60 Hikes within 60 Miles: Chicago (089721662), now in a successful second edition. (He also has other Illinois biking and hiking books in the offing, but that's another story.) His 168-page Camping Illinois provides the quality and concision that Globe Pequot readers have come to expect. Up-to-date trail information; difficulty ratings; historical highlights; detailed trail maps: What more could you want?
