Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Anita Lock
You are a mountain climber about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime; this exploration gives you the opportunity to climb three of the Seven Summits: Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Matterhorn, and Mt. Everest. With 43 choices and 19 endings to select, and a plethora of stock photos to create a sense of reality, your explorations are endless. Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro? You and your cousin Mike have two routes to choose from as Prisca guides you through the tropical zone of Tanzania. How about the Matterhorn? Uncle Jack will buddy up with you as you ascend to Hornli Hut before you begin your 10-hour climb. And lastly, your ultimate challenge: Mt. Everest. You decide that the best way to tackle this feat is to hire Tashi, a local guide, and several porters for your three friends. Whatever path you take, there will be unexpected situations; however, all the choices are yours to make. This is another in the set of "You Choose Books," replete with a little of everything for your interactive survival adventure: history, information on real survivors, a self-check survival quiz, a book list for further reading, Internet sites, a glossary, a bibliography, and an index. A fun way to build cognitive skills and learn some rally cool stuff at the same time, this book and the entire series will keep teens amused for hours! Reviewer: Anita Lock
