Overview

This newly updated edition of "The Candida Cure" (revised 2014) is the most current and concise book on the causes and cures of yeast and fungal overgrowth, known as candida. Many of the most common symptoms and illnesses that plague us today--anything from fatigue, bloating, and weight gain to arthritis, allergies, depression, prostate problems, and multiple sclerosis--can be traced back to a surprising source: Yeast. Ann Boroch, certified nutritional consultant, naturopath, and author of "Healing Multiple Sclerosis," shares her proven 90-day program to beat candida and restore your health and energy. She reveals how the body can quickly get out of balance as a result of high stress levels, poor diet, antibiotic and steroid use, hormone replacement therapy, and chemotherapy. Candida affects millions and is a hidden cause of many health conditions. One out of three people suffer from candida overgrowth, which is also associated with asthma, hypoglycemia/diabetes, hypothyroid, brain fog and anxiety/depression. In a chronic state, yeast overgrowth can also lead to conditions such as lupus, MS, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, autism, and even cancer. This simple and effective guide provides user-friendly information and practical tools to bring your body back into balance: *A candida questionnaire * Common yeast-related health conditions * Candida symptoms as they specifically pertain to men, women, and children * Step-by-step 90-day program to beat candida * Delicious recipes and recommended foods * Two weeks of sample menus * Recommended supplement schedules.

Millions of Americans suffer from a host of afflictions, never realizing that what they eat could be the cause. After struggling with cutting numerous allergens from my diet in order to heal many of the problems afflicting me, a naturopath suggested going on a yeast cleanse. Suddenly, after just a week, I could feel a change. When looking for a book to read more, I came across Ann Boroch's The Candida Cure: Yeast, Fungus & Your Health: The 90-Day Program to Beat Candida & Restore Vibrant Health. The information in this book was eye-opening, and it is one I will definitely recommend to others.

Excellent resource for true lifestyle changes

I read this book after it was recommended to me by a friend. She had read it and followed the 90-day program mainly because of the fibromyalgia pain she was experiencing as well as because of other health issues. She swore it was because of this plan the the pain and discomfort was greatly reduced and she gained energy. I was dealing with serious fatigue and depression along with some other unrelated health issues, so I decided it wouldn't hurt to read it. Before I was done with the first chapter I knew I needed to follow the program! Ann Boroch does an excellent job of explaining what candida truly is and how it affects the body as well as why it needs to be eradicated. There is a very detailed survey for you to take to see how severe your candida/fungus affliction is. Boroch also gives a detailed 90-day plan of how to reduce any candida/fungus, plus a "slow start" 5-week plan (which is optional) to do before the 90-days. The recipes that she includes are an extra bonus on top of all of that. All in all, it's a FANTASTIC book that I have in paperback, on my Nook, and on my phone app so that I can reference it anywhere I am!

    A must read for everyone

I have struggled with what started out as migraines twenty years ago that eventually became almost daily occurrences. Five years ago, serious stomach aches followed every meal. I have been on antibiotics on & off during this period, as one symptom of Candida overgrowth is congestion. Combine this with migraines & docs prescribed antibiotics. What a life changer to start eliminating sugar and find my GI distress and headaches end. Easily explained in the book with meals and programs to strip out sugar. Fifteen years ago I stumbled on the Yeast Connection book that explained this and when I asked my doc if Candida overgrowth could be my problem the Doc didn't believe in this diagnosis. I set the book aside and continued to get sicker! Had I only listened to my body and that book instead! You can't get those years with debilitating illness back! I also read the Grain Brain which hand-in-hand works for overall health and wellness. For those that are suffering migraines or severe GI problems these two books will really help. Gluten & sugar are the undoing of world wide health! Addictive substances that the body begins to crave and then fight as foreign invaders in our bodies & the worst thing is that the food industry knows they are addictive and pump our food full of them! We need to tell the food industry to put natural unmodified natural substances in our foods so our bodies can naturally digest it. That is why we are a country of diabetic, over-weight & sick people!
