Overview

Everything is not what it seems at The Candy Shop. Your wildest dreams could be achieved or your worst nightmares could be confirmed. There are half naked women walking around working and so-called bouncers making sure nothing gets out of order but this establishment is not a strip joint, it’s storage facility.

Redina Hawkins’ childhood was anything but ordinary. After witnessing her parent’s brutal slaughtering, she escaped and was forced to live on the streets. She stole, assaulted, and ate out of garbage cans just to survive. But her run in with an old friend, Messiah “Big Meech” Torres, brings about a new life that she could have never dreamed was possible. A job offer and newfound love brings about more money and more problems for Red as a chick she works with, Zadie, sets out to make her life a living hell. If Zadie doesn’t have her way with Big Meech there will be hell to pay while he struggles with issues of his own. Journey into the Candy Shop where nothing is as sweet as it seems.

You will read this to the end

This book is not your average urban fiction. It teaches you the real side of the game. No fairy tales that make you yarn in this book. My daughter made me read it and she read a several books a week. This is the only book she demanded I read in the past year. Now I'm demanding you read it. You will not be disappointed.

Getting more than you bargain for

Once again, Nicety has created another page turner. I was hooked from start to finish. Every scene, I felt myself watching like a fly on the wall. Nicety really draws the reader in and keeps you in suspense as you move from one scene to the next. With various surprises, twists and turns the reader will not be able to put this read down until you reach the conclusion, which also creates a level of suspense and leaves the reader anxiously awaiting the next installment. Red, Messiah, and Zadie are all intriguing in their own right. Can't wait to see what happens next. Definitely recommend this one, you won't be disappointed.

    Wow

Few grammatical errors and there were a few parts in the book which seemed a bit confusing. This book has some twisted details. Overall its a page turner but not really worth the 99 cents.

This was my first read by Nicety, but will definitely not be my last. Nicety draws you in from the very first scene and we have you rooting for Red throughout the story! Good story, well edited - I definitely cant wait for part 2!

When a young, homeless Red runs into Meech, a familiar face from

When a young, homeless Red runs into Meech, a familiar face from her childhood, her life is changed forever.  He takes her off the street, helps her get food, clothing, and shelter, and introduces her to a world she was certainly not expecting.  In her new world, Red finds that life is much better, but not much easier.  Scenes unfold before her at a rapid pace and other women are quick to take offense to what they perceive as her takeover of their rightful positions.  Nicety does a great job of keeping readers engaged as the story of Meech and Red's journey unfolds.
