This book is horrible! I tried following the setup instructions

This book is horrible! I tried following the setup instructions in the first twenty pages and some of the screenshots do not match what’s on my camera. Just to make sure I wasn’t missing something obvious I had two friends that are more camera than I try the same steps and they could not follow the book either. One friend suggested that maybe this book is for the G11 with just the title updated. If you want to use your G12 in anything other than auto mode, save your $25.00 and buy another book.
