Overview

When life gives you lemons, find a former Marine with sexy abs to lick the lemonade from...

Tony Dunn's panty-snatching bachelor life has been turned upside down-he now has custody of a daughter he didn't even know he fathered. With his focus solely on doing right by his little girl, the last thing he needs is a sexy, totally distracting blonde showing up on his doorstep.

Nicole Hodges is in River Bend temporarily, to handle her grandmother's estate and get the heck out of Dodge before her past catches up with her. Only problem is...she likes the quiet little town more than she expects, and she can't resist overextending herself to help her built-like-a-bad-boy neighbor get his life back on track.

Tony and Nicole have different goals in mind, none of which include a relationship. But what harm could come from a little fun--the naked kind--if they both know the rules up front?

Warning: This book contains a sex-deprived single dad with a wicked tongue. Enough said.

Together Nicole and Tony make a great pair, sassy and fun, although thanks to that disastrous marriage Nicole definitely has a hard time letting Tony all the way end. But he handles it very well Y’all need to take that warning seriously though because Tony definitely knows what he’s doing …. and McLain isn’t afraid to let him do it. I know that some people prefer a more PG story but if you are good with steamy scenes and coarse language, then I definitely recommend picking up Can’t Get Enough as soon as possible. The romance itself is heartwarming and the characters are really loveable, you just have to be prepared to get a little hot under the collar :) Full review available at Romantic Reads and Such on wordpress (Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review)

Warning: This book contains a sex-deprived single dad with a wicked tongue. Enough said. (c'mon people, how can you possibly NOT want to read this LOL I got that statement from the blurb of the book and it REALLY is a warning. TRUTH lol) I received and read this ARC from Victory Editing Publishing Group via NetGalley for an honest review months ago. Unfortunately, I am a reading junkie and sometimes I get SO caught up in books and of course life, that before I know it I am WAY behind in reviewing books I have read. But better late than never I say! Let me tell you what I have learned about this author since the day I met her writing summer of 2014 when I read the first River Bend story, gifted to me via a Giveaway by Ms McLain .... The woman has MAD skills! That should be enough for you to RUN and either start this series or continue with this recently published story, Can't Get Enough!! Here is the gist: our hero, Tony, is a long time resident of River Bend, new to fatherhood ~ yea, daughter he never knew he had AND he gets full custody. And we have our heroine, Nicole, not a permanent resident, just passing thru, um yea, baggage that follows her like a bad penny! So, Nicole is only in town to handle her grandmother's affairs and then she's out before her past catches up to her. Bwaaaahahahahahahaha, that's what SHE thinks ;) Cue .... deliciously handsome charmer, Tony. Tony needs a sitter like yesterday because he has adjustments to make with his life for his new daughter but she needs tending at the same time so .... Cue, desperate for cash Nicole :) And that kids, is how they meet :) ok, not really, cuz they had met once before, but that doesn't count. This is when their relationship that neither of them knows is happening, begins! These two have some serious chemistry and their conversations were real and to the point! I loved that so much about Ms McLain's books/characters. She makes you relate to them. They have every day problems with every day banter ... it's like you're there! I just love her! This story had just about everything you could ask for in a romance HEA .... fun, scorching hot sex, family, love, loyalty, small town goodness, heartbreaking moments as well as very heartwarming moments, and some serious issues dealt with phenomenally well by Ms McClain! But I'll tell you what the BEST part of this book was .... tough, sexy ex-marine brought to his knees by his love for his baby girl. Honestly .... if you are not reading Molly McLain's work, you are really missing out! TRUTH!

How can I describe how I feel about this book....I LOVED IT! I simply could not get enough of this book. It was very well written and thought out. I wanted to hear every characters story and definitely cant wait to read any book that comes out in this series. Molly McLain set it up so that you got just enough of an intro into each character that there were no spoilers but you definitely fell in love with everyone. Cheers to Molly Mclain you were able to talk about very serious issues without making the book feel dark and heavy. It was funny, extremely sexy, at times heartbreaking, tears were shed and I simply fell in love with them when they were fighting love. Tony Dunn was single and ready to mingle until one day his life gets twisted and turned upside down when he finds out he has a daughter from a women he has not seen or heard from in over 10 months. With a new project he is working on that could change his life he needs a baby sitter pronto. He post an add and in walks the sexy Nicole Hodges Nicole Hodges is in River Bend temporarily to settle all of her Grandmothers affairs due to her death. Nicole thought that everything would be easily resolved and then she would be on her way to a new job and a new life. Like all of the best laid plans things go crazy when Nicoles' car brakes down and she has no money to fix it. What is a girl to do when she is down on her luck and trying to get to her dream job? She finds a temporary job! Luckily for her Tony makes her an offer she can not refuse

I fell in love with this small town in the first book of this series and Molly McLain hit it home again with this book.  Tony is such a lovable man and I don't think there was a better way to tell his story.  I love Nicole and Tony together, their focus on Brianna, just everything.  This book hits all the marks you want in a good romance novel!  Now I can't wait for the next book in the series so I can fall more in love with River Bend!

Cute but sometimes sad story (also much like real life) of a surprised father after a one night stand... Now with full custody of an infant daughter and a very full time job he needs hep in the worst way... Enter RN Nicole, home to sell her late grandmother's house and you have the beginning of a story... I enjoyed it very much and thought it was well done by the author.

I actually read this book before the first in this series. I got this one in the hometown heroes set, which I highly recommend. Loved the characters and the idea of a single father looking for love while being careful not to do anything that would harm his daughter. Some typos but not enough to impact my enjoyment of the story.

Love this series and the characters Ms. McLain draws.  The first line in the Overview, "When life gives you lemons, find a former Marine with sexy abs to lick the lemonade from ..." is not only an overivew, it's the setting for one of the scenes of the book - a hot one!  I have already bought the next book in the series and I REALLY hope that it's not the last.  Love this series.

4 - Caution - May induce quivering naughty bits and the sudden saturation of one's panties. Stars! I have been waiting for what feels like forever for Tony Dunn to have his story told. The first book in the River Bend series Can’t Shake You gave us some golden snippets of a happy-go-lucky guy, with a huge dose of charm topped off in a tall, dark and handsome package. Ex-Marine and baby daddy too boot, this is a guy that should have every girl swooning all over her eReader, not to mention damp in other areas. ”If we do this, we do this. No wishy-washy s**t tomorrow.” And for the most part he did, the Tony we get in Can’t Get Enough is a slightly more serious version I remember though, which is hardly surprising considering the massive changes that his life has undertaken over the previous months, with the discovery of a daughter he never knew he had, and full custody of her that he never planned upon. There were glimmers of that guy though when exchanging banter with the guys, and I liked that the reader got to see the light along with the darker facets of his character. ”You let me f**k you, but you won’t talk to me.” Nicole upon returning to town to sort out her grandmother’s estate discovers two things, her car is dead, and she is in serious need to cash. Tony and his short term requirement for a babysitter for his daughter, Brianna is the perfect option. The chemistry sizzling between them adds a complication neither of them thinks they need, but ultimately can’t deny. ”You came into my life for a reason, just like I came into yours. Whether you’re here for seven more hours or seven more weeks doesn’t matter, because this thing between us? It’s special.” For the most part I really enjoyed this book. I found Nicole’s reasons behind being reluctant to commit or allow Tony to help her out in any way to be a little weak. More from lack of development from the author of her past issues than anything. I also thought that the resolution of the reasoning behind the mindset she had, to be too cut and dried after the amount of use as an excuse it warranted for her behavior throughout the first 75% of the book. (view spoiler) ”I might just be good for you, too.” That said, I did have really high expectations for this book, and Molly McLain for the most part fulfilled them, I just expected a little more to be honest. I understand that there is potentially more from this couple to come. I really hope so, and I hope they get the full closure that their story deserves. ”Baby, you’re a ride I’d spend all my tickets on.” Can’t wait for more from the River bend crew; there are a few nice little leads in this installment of potential couples that I am looking forward to reading about in the future. ARC generously provided by the author, it was my pleasure to provide the above honest review.

Another great River Bend story – you will love Tony and no cliffhanger! This is the second book in Molly McLain’s River Bend series but it can be read as a standalone and there is no cliffhanger! Of course, the other books in this series (there’s also a novella which is book 1.5) are good ones as well but you don’t have to have read them to enjoy this book. Tony is a single father trying to adjust to the demand that having an infant daughter makes on his life. He loves his daughter but it is still a struggle to juggle everything they both need. Nicole is trying to get her life back after her divorce from a controlling husband. She is in town to settle her grandmother’s estate. Her car breaks down on her way into town. She is flat broke and not sure how she is going to make ends meet until she can get her grandmother’s house sold but she doesn’t want anyone to take over or really help her much because of her history with her EX. Tony’s babysitter has a heart attack so he puts up flyers looking for a replacement. Nicole is a nurse with lots of experience with babies and she needs the money working for Tony would provide. Tony decides to give her a try as Bri’s babysitter. Of course there are major sparks between Nicole and Tony but their story is complicated and their journey to their HFN (happy for now) is interesting, compelling and quick paced. If life (and sleep) hadn’t intervened I would have read this book in one sitting; I didn’t want to put it down. When I reviewed Molly’s first River Bend book I was critical because there was no disclaimer about language and sex and somehow the blurb about the book led me to believe it would be more of a traditional romance. Since then she has been upfront about the content of her books. They are sexy, HOT and contain coarse language. If any of these things offend you this might not be the book for you. If you can overlook liberal use of f**k and a few other terms you will find this a very entertaining and steamy read.

This sweet and sexy romance is the story of Tony and Nicole. Nicole is in River Bend for only a few months to wrap up her grandmother's estate, taking on the care of handsome and sweet single dad Tony's baby daughter Bri in a bid to raise some much needed funds. But when the lines between friend and something more blur, will Nicole be able to give up her plans of an independent life in the big city for a ready made family that wants her to stay? I loved this story! It's the first I've read by this author and definitely won't be the last. Tony is portrayed as a dedicated single father, doing his best to juggle his career and full custody of a little girl he only recently learned about. He has his hands full, and when Nicole answers his ad for a caregiver, he hires her despite his full blown attraction to her, knowing that what's best for his daughter outweighs anything else. Nicole is an independent, caring and friendly woman, divorced from a controlling man and determined to finish her business in River Bend and move on with her life. She is equally attracted to Tony and the sexual tension between them simmers, pulling them into an affair that quickly leads to deeper feelings on both sides. The love scenes between them were steamy and emotional. I particularly liked how Tony was able to put the needs of his daughter first when dealing with her mother, making difficult but fair decisions. Secondary characters also played a key role in the story, with the dynamics of small town life accurately portrayed, adding humour and witty dialogue to the situations that Nicole and Tony find themselves in, and giving a real feeling of camaraderie between the groups of female and male friends. Overall I found this to be a really fun read, with engaging characters, an interesting plot, a cute baby (awww) and a satisfying happy ending. 5 stars!

Excellent!! Nothing sexier than when a tough rugged man is brought to his knees by his love for his baby. In this wonderfully written story you can feel the love and frustration through the pages. Wild man Tony Dunn is now living the single father life and he loves his daughter with all he is but he could use a break or two to make things easier. Nicole Hodges is on her way to start her life over. She's leaving behind an ex husband who even after 6 years will not leave her alone. She's in River Bend long enough to deal with her grandmother's estate then she is off to Chicago. She never intended to fall in love with sexy single dad Tony and his irresistible daughter Brianna. I couldn't put this one down and I bet neither will you. I highly recommend it!
