Overview

Get ready for another Sullivan bad boy to fall in love in CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE, the third book of New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Bella Andre's bestselling contemporary romance series!

Gabe Sullivan risks his life every day as a firefighter in San Francisco. But after learning a brutal lesson about professional boundaries, he knows better than to risk his heart to his fire victims ever again. Especially the brave mother and daughter he saved from a deadly apartment fire...and can't stop thinking about.

Megan Harris knows she owes the heroic firefighter everything for running into a burning building to save her and her seven-year-old daughter. Everything except her heart. Because after losing her navy pilot husband five years ago, she has vowed to never suffer through loving - and losing - a man with a dangerous job again.

Only, when Gabe and Megan meet again and uncontrollable flames of desire ignite between them, how can he possibly ignore her courage, determination, and beauty? And how can she deny not only his strong bond with her daughter…but the way his sweetly sensual kisses are challenging her to risk everything she’s been guarding for so long?

This winter, if one - or both - of them aren’t careful, they just might end up falling in love.

    Loved Gabe & Megan!!!

I was sent a copy of Can¿t Help Falling in Love from the author. I actually have the first 2 books in the series on my kindle in my TBR folder, but hadn¿t read them yet. I absolutely loved Can¿t Help Falling in Love! Both Gabe and Megan are such strong characters, yet they have each had a bad experience with relationships in the past. Megan lost her husband to a horrible accident and Gabe had a relationship turn sour with a woman he had rescued in a fire. Gabe swears never to date another fire victim and Megan swears never to get involved with someone in a dangerous job again.

After Gabe saves Megan and her daughter Summer from their burning apartment building, Megan and Summer come to the hospital to thank him. Both Megan and Gabe are attracted to each other from the moment they meet in the hospital, yet the promises they made to themselves are always in the front of each of their minds. Of course, both promises go out the window because of the explosive attraction between them. Megan¿s daughter Summer makes it her goal to get her mom and Gabe together at every possible moment. Each time Megan and Gabe are alone together, neither can seem to keep their hands off of the other. They are so hot together, I really thought my Nook might start sizzling as I was reading. Gabe and Megan have some of the sexiest scenes together and yet there is still a sweetness to them as well, as I could see both falling for one another.

Gabe is able to move past his past experience much faster than Megan. He figures out very quickly he is in love with her and is willing to take things slow to have Megan and Summer in his life. Megan is such a strong woman, but had been burned so badly in the past, she had such fear of a real relationship with Gabe. Megan knows in her heart she loves Gabe, yet must get her head to see clearly before she too can admit her feelings.

I usually don¿t read books in a series out of order, but felt like Can¿t Help Falling in Love stood alone well. I really loved spending time with the Sullivan family and can¿t wait to read the rest of the family¿s stories. I plan on going back and reading the first two books in the series as soon as possible, and really can¿t wait for Sophie¿s story to be released in February 2012.

4.5 Star Review In Can't Help Falling In Love (Sullivans #3) by

    4.5 Star Review

In Can't Help Falling In Love (Sullivans #3) by Bella Andre, Firefighter Gabe Sullivan swore he would never get involved with another fire victim he rescued after he had a bad experience a few years ago. That is until he set eyes on Megan Harris and her daughter Summer. He is simply amazed at Megan's strength while he rescues them from their third floor apartment. She never gave up until she knew Summer was safe and then finally let herself be taken care of. Megan and Summer come to visit him in the hospital to give their thanks while he's recuperating from an injury suffered during that fire. Gabe feels an immediate connection to Megan when he looks into her beautiful eyes, and judging from her reaction, she senses it too. He decides to be rather abrupt with her to hopefully discourage her from seeking him out again. He can't allow himself to get close to her or to Summer. When they show up at his firehouse a while later to deliver muffins Summer baked for him though, Gabe knows he's done for. He's captivated by the seven year old and even more so by her lovely mom.

It turns out that Gabe's sister Sophie went to college with Megan and they get to reconnect a bit while at the firehouse. Sophie invites her and Summer to a Sullivan family holiday party much to Gabe's chagrin. He ends up driving them to the party after they have a tire mishap and once there he makes it pretty clear to his brothers that Megan is off-limits, even though he knows he shouldn't pursue her himself. Every time he bumps into her, the more apparent it is that they have a deep connection. Gabe has never been so serious about a woman before and he decides to put his self-inflicted rules aside and see where things go with Megan. The next problem is convincing her to push aside her own set of rules about not dating anyone with a dangerous job. That proves to be more challenging. He can understand her not wanting Summer to get close to someone who may disappear from her life. However, he doesn't plan on going anywhere. Unless it involves Megan and her charming daughter.

Megan's life was turned upside down by the fire that destroyed her apartment building. Not only did she and her seven year old daughter just barely make it out alive thanks to a brave firefighter, but she also can't get his gorgeous, patient eyes out of her head. She chalks it up to hero-worship...he did save her life after all. But when she is compelled to visit him in the hospital to convey her thanks, she's not ready for the sexy guy she meets. There is an instant spark between them. She becomes even more intrigued when he seems genuinely interested in everything her daughter Summer has to say. They seem to keep meeting up one way or another and Megan begins to feel like the universe is sending her a sign, although she's afraid to give in and let Gabe into her and Summer's lives. She can't go through losing a significant other again to a dangerous job. But her heart is telling her he is worth the risk. When he proves how intense yet caring he can truly be, she knows there is no way she keep her heart in check. She's already in too deep.

I am so in love with Bella Andre's Sullivans series! Each story is just as unique as the Sullivan sibling it represents. Book three is sweet and emotional because...well, so is Gabe. He's the epitome of the saying "his mama raised him right". Gabe is heroic, sexy, loyal, charming and family oriented. His job as a firefighter is rescuing people from one of the most traumatic events they can go through in their lives. And he does it not necessarily for the adrenaline rush, but instead to help people. Gabe and Megan are a match made in heaven yet neither one wants to give in to their feelings because of previous relationships. However they are certainly destined to be together. And reading about his interaction with Megan's daughter Summer just melted my heart and put a huge smile on my face. Definitely check this book out if you love hot romance with a deep emotional connection.

    So much emotion...so good!

    My Review:
Ah, I love a good story full of lots of emotions and this one was fantastic!!

No one has a better reason to protect her heart from someone with a dangerous job than Megan. After losing her thrill-seeking husband to a plane crash, she never plans to risk that kind of heartbreak again...for either her or her daughter. But when Gabe Sullivan rescues her and her daughter from their burning apartment and is hurt in the process, she doesn't want to feel the inexorable pull to him.

Gabe has his own very good reasons for not wanting to get involved. He dated another woman who he met on a fire rescue and things did not end well with that. It's bad when the relationship starts out with him as the rescuer. He knows that and so he's doing his best to stay far, far away from Megan because he feels the draw between them too.

But throw in a really smart seven year old who also has a thing for fireman and these two really don't stand much of a chance. Like I said, I just really loved this book. The romance and sexual tension is through the roof. There are romantic, wonderfully gorgeous scenes like the ski lodge in Tahoe and New Year's Eve fireworks on the roof in San Francisco. I liked both of these characters and could completely understand their reluctance to become involved. The premise and story line just worked perfectly. Midway through the book, I felt like my heart was breaking for these two and the circumstances keeping them apart. They were just so perfect for one another.

Just another fabulous installment to this series, although I have to admit, I am not sure which one I love more #2 or #3. They are both so good. At this point, the only thing keeping these books from getting A+ ratings has been the fact that I haven't actually cried during them...although I came pretty close in this one. Now off to go read Sophie's book...

    Good Sullivan story

Nice characters, good story line. The only odd thing was a 7 yr old who bakes homemade muffins and fudge. That was a little unrealistic. Otherwise another great one be Bella Andre.

    I Also Recommend:

I Couldn't Help Falling In Love with Gabe!

Gabe rescues Megan and her daughter, Summer, during a frightening apartment fire. He's immediately drawn to Megan's strength and determination. After he's injured during their rescue, Megan and Summer visit him at the hospital to see how he is and to thank him for saving their lives. Despite their mutual attraction, both Gabe and Megan have rules that should keep them apart. Gabe never dates fire victims. Megan refuses to date risk-takers. But as luck would have it, they are thrown back together with a little help from Gabe's insightful sister and Megan's matchmaking daughter. I'm not always a fan of children in romance novels, but Summer was such a delight! I smiled with each antic she pulled. Also, I love how she was never treated like a secondary character. Summer is very much a part of the story, and it was wonderful seeing Gabe interact with her.

Gabe and Megan's relationship progresses in such a natural way that it felt real to me. Megan's fears after losing her husband broke my heart. Gabe overcame his emotional conflict a lot faster than she did. He didn't push her, though. He was patient and loving in his pursuit...and boy does he pursue!

Can't Help Falling in Love is the perfect example of why I love romance novels. In fact, I can say that about this entire series! The exciting meet, one or both of them resisting the spark of attraction, the first explosive kiss leading to rock-my-world sex, overcoming conflict while falling in love, and living happily ever after. It's rare that I find a book that does it ALL just as I want.

The next Sullivan to find happiness will be Sophie in I Only Have Eyes For You. The setup for she and Jake in Can't Help Falling in Love has me anxiously anticipating their story! If Jake is anything like the Sullivan men, I may need a defibrillator. A girl's heart can only take so much!
