Publishers Weekly
Concluding the Baci women trilogy (after Then He Kissed Me), Ridgway weaves a passion-filled but middling yarn centered on Giuliana "Jules" Baci, the oldest Baci sister. After a decade away from her hometown and her family's winery, Jules returns and vows to spend the year helping her sisters bring the business back from the brink of ruin. What Jules doesn't count on, however, is the continuing desire she feels for Liam, her handsome high school beau, who has since become stiff and cold. Mutual lust bridges the distance and the two engage in many spontaneous, secretive trysts, but these intimate encounters reignite an emotional bond that neither will admit to, while a series of vandalisms and unearthed secrets threaten to shatter the affair as well as the Baci family harmony. Spicy sex scenes heat up an otherwise predictable story. (July)

It's Giuliana Baci's turn to find love, but things start off with her car being crushed and her apartment burning down. Fortunately, she does have a place to live; unfortunately, it's next door to the family winery, Tanti Baci, and currently inhabited by her former lover, Liam Bennett, who is more than willing to share. But there's been bad blood between Liam's family and the Bacis for decades, and although Liam is there to help, Jules doesn't trust him. Still, she knows she must if she wants to salvage the business. Fast-paced action, a crumbling diary, an old legend, and an abundance of wedding detail keep things interesting as the three Baci women struggle to save their beloved winery. VERDICT Funny, lively, and lusciously sensual, this delectable reunion romance sparkles like Tanti Baci's wedding wine and ties up a few loose ends as it nicely concludes the trilogy. Ridgway (Then He Kissed Me) lives in San Diego.

Meet the Author

Christie Ridgway has never lived east of the Pacific Ocean, north of San Francisco, or south of San Diego. To put it simply, she's a California native who loves to travel but is happy to make the Golden State her home. She began her writing career in fifth grade when she penned a volume of love stories featuring herself and a teen idol who will probably be thrilled to remain nameless. Later, though, after marrying her college sweetheart, Christie again took up writing romances, this time with imaginary heroes and heroines. In a house full of males one terrific husband, two school-age sons, a yellow dog, and tankfuls of fish, reptiles, and amphibians Christie makes her own place (and peace) writing the kinds of stories she loves best.

Almost a year ago the three Baci sisters said they will diligently work for the next twelve months to save the family century old Napa Valley vineyard that was failing. A lot has happened since the trio inherited Baci from their late dad. Two of the sisters have since found love and marriage (see Then He Kissed Me and Can't Hurry Love). They are committed to stay and work at the vine yard. The oldest sibling Guiliana remains adamant that she will leave once the year is up in one month even as her apartment has been burned down and her car destroyed. Jules is forced to move to the neighboring vineyard owned by Liam Bennett though they are uncivil with each other as they have been for a long time. However, with a gala planned to celebrate the Golden Anniversary of the vineyard, the couple agree to a one month truce, which will end when she leaves. Their attraction remains hotter than the inferno that destroyed her apartment, but someone stalks Jules with bad intent. The final Three Kisses contemporary vineyard romance is an engaging tale starring two enemies in love. Although the story line is somewhat typical of the sub-genre and the villain over the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, fans will relish this fun frothy frolic as the lighthearted heated banter between the oldest Baci and her childhood friend and nemesis former lover make for a wonderful read. The other two books in this series set this one up perfectly without giving anything away. Perfectly executed.

Can't Hurry Love by Christie Ridgway is an emotional and funny conclusion to the Baci sisters trilogy. Giuliana Baci had come home last year to help her sisters safe their heritage. The Baci winery is barely hanging on but her sisters Stevie and Allie have thrown everything they have into saving it. But Jules is reluctant to invest herself anymore then she already has, all Jules pain seems to center around the winery. Or the man next store Liam Bennett. Liam Bennett has helped the Baci sisters hold onto their heritage. Jules doesn't trust Liam or his motives since he broke her heart over ten years ago. Neither one has gotten over their ill fated romance when she both were young. Liam sets out to prove to Jules they can be friends and put the winery first. A suspicious fire has Jules living in the guest room at Liam's. This close proximity has Jules seeing Liam in a whole new light. Maybe by spending so much time together they can repair their relationship and also get the winery back on its feet. Can't Hurry Love is heart felt and moving. The ill fated romance of their youth is filled with land minds that neither has spoken of since. Jules and Liam's road to a happen ending has many ups and downs but watching them get there is very rewarding. The secondary romance with Kohl and Grace adds another level to an already wonderful story.
