Overview

When it comes to her heart, Arabella D’Angelo has moved on—even though she still lives in Mirror Lake, Connecticut, a little tourist town with a long memory for mistakes. Ever the dutiful daughter of a cantankerous widower who holds grudges, Bella has spent the past twelve years raising her younger brother and making a name for herself as a successful psychologist. Now, when she isn’t counseling a lonely-hearts club for senior women, she’s humoring her matchmaking girlfriends. Bella resists the romancing of their blind dates, yet her friends hope she’ll fall for a local and scrap plans for a fresh start in Chicago.

Then, just before Bella’s thirtieth birthday, her first love, Roman Spikonos, returns to Mirror Lake. When he moves next door to her family’s garden-center business to run his grandparents’ orchard, it stirs up gossip—and a tempest of passions—just in time for pumpkin harvest. As Roman and Bella once again get caught up in a swirl of desire and heartache, not to mention her overprotective father’s fury, Mirror Lake will soon find out whether the Italian hometown beauty and her unforgettable Greek god can stand a second chance.

Roman, a transfer from another high school is popular, athletic, and cute. Roman has excellent grades, ones that rival Bella's, but he's struggling in English Literature. Roman asks Bella to be his tutor. Roman knows she's busy with her job, studies, and family responsibilities but hopes she can fit him in her busy schedule. Bella, always up for a challenge, quickly agrees. As they become friends, they realize that they are falling for each other. One night of romance and a broken condom, lead to a pregnancy at 18yrs old. Because Bella is attending a Catholic school, she's forced to drop out. She's also forced to decline the full-ride scholarship she'd earned, because she couldn't cart an infant all over campus. Roman also gave up his basketball scholarship and planned on enlisting so he could provide for his family. Unfortunately, Bella loses the baby and is forced by her disapproving father to cut Roman out of her life. She lies to Roman, when what she really wanted to do was go live a life with him. Twelve years later, Roman returns to town. His grandparents left him the apple orchard that's right next to Vito's farm. He knows he'll eventually run into Bella, but he didn't expect to still love her after all these years. Even though Bella denies her feelings, she knows she's still in love with Roman. Bella has secrets though. She's afraid once she tells Roman the truth about that night she sent him away, she may lose him all over again. I truly enjoyed this novel. I was EXTREMELY happy when Bella FINALLY pulled her head out of her hiney! I did think the middle of the novel drug on a bit with Bella's struggles, guilt, etc. I wanted to grab her by the shoulders and shake some sense into her!!! Roman was EXTREMELY patient with Bella! I can understand trying to please her dad and trying to help out with Joey, but at thirty years old she has the right to chose her own happiness! Dads do NOT always know best. This novel does end with a HEA and no cliffhanger! I can't wait to see what happens with Maggie!!! I read a gifted copy of this novel and all opinions expressed are my own.

Miranda Liasson is a fairly new author for me but I have truly enjoyed her books I have read. This book is awesome! So enjoyed Bella and Roman's story. Love second chance stories and this one didn't disappoint! the characters are so relatable, you will cheer for them, want to yell at them to wake up and then get teary when they finally figure things out! Ms. Liasson's style of writing is very enjoyable, there's romance, conflict and humor! Can't wait to read more of her books! I voluntarily read an advanced ecopy for an honest review.

I won this book from Goodreads giveaways. It was a wonderful story about 2nd chances. They fell in love in high school, got pregnant and loss the baby. She sent him away because her father threaten to kick her out of the family, he had joined the military. 12 years later she is a phycologist and he is coming home to take over his grandparents apple farm and is going to brew brandy. She is thinking of leaving and finds that they still love each other. What a lovely story of 2nd chances at love.

This is a beautifully written story about second chance love. Roman Spikonos is back in Mirror lake to take over his family's orchard. Still living in Mirror Lake is Arabella with whom he was in love with years ago. Their young love was threatened by Arabella's overbearing Italian father and a tragic loss for both Arabella and Roman. Its now twelve years later and Arabella's father still doesn't like Roman but of course they both realize they still love each other and the pull is too strong to ignore. This book is a spin off from a previous series where you meet Roman's brother Lukas and get to know a little about the Spikonos brothers background. Because of that you are really routing for Roman to make amends with Arabella's father because Roman is such a good guy. Arabella had to learn to stand up to her father and others, and you saw her grow in this story. I loved the dialogue between the characters, the group meetings who funny with the older ladies. This is just an all round great book with loss, humor, romance, chemistry and great character development. Look forward to reading about the rest of the Spikonos brothers!

Arabella (Bella) comes from a very strong Italian family who believes in the old school values. Her father is the head of the family as her mother passed away. Bella is very protective of her brother and has been a mother figure for him. However, Bella falls for Roman Spikonos in high school and must deal with the consequences of young passionate love. Just Roman's name makes me want to swoon, so you can imagine what it will do to Bella once she sees him again. Twelve years have passed and Roman returns to Mirror Lake to run his grandfather's orchard, which is right next door to Bella's father's nursery. Bella is now a psychologist, but is helping her father for the time being at the nursery also. They meet again at Bella's cousin's wedding and sparks fly between them, but the past remains between them. Lies and secrets must be told before both can heal and go forward, but how will Roman get Bella alone? I enjoyed the flashbacks to Bella's and Roman's past as it gave me a glimpse of their lives and the feelings they had for each other and the tragedy that changed their lives. I was also given a look into the lives of the some of the other Spikonos brothers and I can't wait to see what Miranda has in store for them. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves second chances and a HEA. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. Series: A Mirror Lake Novel - can be read as a standalone. Characters: Strong alpha male and strong independent women who both love family. Writing: Smooth and developed. Storyline: Second chances on love. Heat: Burning 5 Koala Paws

A beautiful second chance romance. Arabella D'Angelo and Roman Spikonos are from a small town in Mirror Lake, CN. They fell in love in their senior year of High School. Their lives change when the condom breaks, but life changes dramatically more for Arabella than Roman ... 5-mos later tragedy strikes and their world as they know it falls apart. Arabella pushes Roman away to please her strict Italian father. 12-years later Arabella and Roman's bump into each other at a wedding. What Arabella doesn't know is that Roman is home for good to take over his grandparent's orchard that he inherited. The orchard is next door to his first and only love Arabella, and he wants a 2nd chance. I laughed, cried and truly enjoyed reading Arabella and Roman's story and so will you. This is my first time reading one of Miranda Liasson's books and I LOVED it! This is the first book in a New Series from Miranda Liasson about a set of Greek brothers that were separated in their youth, the women they fall in love with, and how they reconnect as brothers. I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Miranda Liasson is always on my MUST READ list. Relatability is something I look for within the stories that I read and Ms. Liasson never skimps on that important trait. It's easier to become engrossed in a character when a reader can understand the circumstances they are facing. Small town drama, second chance romance and hidden pieces of wisdom all add up to the beauty that is Can't Stop Loving You. Bella is prides herself on her reliability both in her career and personal life but the image that she shows the world is different than the way she sees herself. She still sees that insecure, heartbroken eighteen year old she used to be, not the independent woman she has become. When the secrets of an that eighteen year old come back to haunt her 12 yrs later in the form of her biggest temptation, her well ordered life because some what of a mess. Is she ready for the fireworks?

LOVED this book!! It's a fabulous small town romance that touched my heart. This one will go on the reread list. Arabella "Bella" D’Angelo is a strong woman. She could have left the small town of Mirror Lake but her brother and father needed her so she stayed even though she felt the judgement of the town. Her heart broke when Roman Spikonos left but at the time it was what she needed. She's never let anyone get that close again. Having Roman return to Mirror Lake and living right next door wasn't something she ever expected. Neither was the fact that even after all these years, just the sight of him makes her heart sing. Can this really be a second chance to make all her dreams come true? I highly recommend this one!

Bella and Roman were high school sweethearts who were madly in love and had their whole lives together in front of them when tragedy struck. Bella, making a decision for the two of them, tells Roman a lie and he leaves town and Bella. Fast forward to twelve years later and Roman is back in town and wants to connect with Bella again. This is their second chance at love, but will they be able to overcome what happened in the past? These two seemed to have everything. They were both attractive, Bella was a successful psychologist and Roman had his degree in distilling that he’d always talked about getting. The biggest thing standing in their way of happiness was Bella’s dad, who she should have told to mind his own business years ago, and their own lack of communication. For a psychologist, Bella’s lack of insight about how to move forward and correct things with Roman was pretty surprising, and pretty frustrating as well. Roman on the other hand, was decisive, seemed to know what he wanted, and set about trying to achieve that goal. Bella and Romans fiery chemistry and the author, Miranda Liasson’s sweet style of storytelling held this story together until they reached their happily ever after. but I did wonder if they couldn’t have gotten there a little quicker if they had just sat down and talked! I received a copy of this book through Netgalley for my honest review.

I recently discovered this talented author, and am glad I did. Can’t Stop Loving You is the beginning of a new series by Ms Liasson taking place in Mirror Lake, CT. I understand it’s a spin-off from a previous series, but if like me , you have not read that series, rest assure it’s a stand alone and you will be fine. This new series will introduce us the five Spikonos brothers who during their tumultuous childhood were separated and put in the foster system. We meet Roman in this one and Bella. These two fell in love during HS, and experienced a heart wrenching tragedy , With a strict Italian family, a boy that came from the foster system, misunderstandings and hurt, these two separate under pressure and meet again 12 years later. Each one has become a successful professional but people have long memories , and the hurt is still there. Now Roman is back, the sparks are still there , even greater as adults. Will they get a chance to not only clear the slate, but also have a second chance? I promise you it will be worth your time to find out. You will also be left with the hope that the next book of the Spikonos brothers comes out sooner than later ! I was gifted this book by Netgalley and the author. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
