Gal Costa began her career performing songs by Caetano Veloso, the great and long-legendary songwriter from Santo Amaro in Bahia. This compilation brings together 14 of Costa's interpretations of Veloso's compositions. Some of the tracks are very famous, such as the classic masterpiece "Baby," from the years of the Tropicalismo movement, and "O Quereres." Other tracks, like "O Amor," "Milagre do Povo," and "Vaca Profana" are more "obscure."
