Meet the Author

Geoffrey Chaucer (c.1343-1400) was a medieval English author and poet, often called "the father of English literature." In addition to literature, Chaucer was an accomplished astronomer, alchemist, and philosopher. Chaucer was unusual for his time in that he wrote in the vernacular Middle English, helping to shape the structure of the language.

Thinking about getting the free sample? Don't waste your time. It just gives a bio of Chaucer's life, not a single page of the book. You'd do better to pay a little more and get something of good quality.
