Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Meredith Kiger
This short recipe book is a follow-up to the Whitehouse Mouse, House Mouse, Senate Mouse and Marshall, The Courthouse Mouse by the same authors and illustrators. The simple recipes are designed for children to prepare, and have few steps and common ingredients. Capital Crunch Bars, for instance, are Rice Krispies based and include only four ingredients. In general, the recipes are not meant for the health conscious as most are high in fat and/or sugar, and there is no listing of nutrients or calories. Entries include appetizers, soups or sides, entrees, salads, breads and drinks, and desserts. Drawings of the characters in the aforementioned books accompany the pages of recipes.
