A duo who rose to CCM prominence via remixes for tobyMac and Britt Nicole, Capital Kings certainly are attuned to part of the modern world, trading on the icy synthesizers and insistent drum machines that have meant big hits for OneRepublic and Owl City. The latter casts a greater shadow over Capital Kings' eponymous 2013 debut, for as heavy as the rhythms are -- and they are accentuated, fittingly enough for a pair of remixers -- the melodies delivered by thin voices are what stick.
