"He replied; Mr Tarantula, the idea that you could consider yourself on the same social level as an officer of the realm is utterly ridiculous. My good fellow, what would the Queen say if she found out that I was on first name terms with somebody like you!"

"Would you like a vol-au-vent?
No thank you Mrs Johnson, I'm saving myself until I get married."

"Magnificent!"

Meet the Author

Brian Johnson
Reaping the benefits of early retirement, I've I tried painting watercolours, which now cover some of the cracks in the walls of our house. I've knocked out sme culinary delights, which some people describe as edible. The on to writing. My book 'CAPTAIN SHOELACE Seasonal Mayhem' was the introduction to the crazy world of the Captain's life in the English village of Effam. Encourged to do do a follow up, I've written the sequel 'CAPTAIN SHOELACE Phoenix' which continues the story at an ever incresing pace.
My life is great, I live in London, England with my wife. My daughter lives a few miles away with her four kids, so we see a lot of them. My son has two kids, who we see less frequently as live a three hour drive away. I also support the world famous football (Soccer to some!) Tottenham Hotspur FC.
Come on you Spurs!!!
