Overview

He took her captive.
She stole his heart.

A rogue pirate. A beautiful Englishwoman. Who would win their battle on the high seas?

"I came down here to terrorize you into submission. I did not expect such easy capitulation."
"How dismaying for you. Should I put up a defiant front to assuage your disappointment?"
"You're a cool one, Miss Angela. I'll give you that much."
"Are you what they say you are, Captain Saber?"
A slight smile tilted his mouth up at one corner. "And what do they say I am, Miss Angela? Murderer? I've killed men, though I can't say I've derived any satisfaction from it. Pirate? Quite true. Though at times, I've stolen things that belong to me, so I'm not quite certain what that does to my redoubtable reputation as a thief and scourge of the seven seas."
He took a step closer, his voice lowering to a husky timbre that sent chills chasing down her spine. "That I am known as-let me see-a defiler of damsels? As for that reputation, I gladly plead . . ." His hand shifted, fingers tightening in her hair to draw her head back. "Guilty."

I have read a few Virginia Brown books before; this is was not like any previous ones that I have read by this author.
The book is a historical romance that was fast paced and enjoyable even with the foul mouthed Lory (a parrot) and swashbuckling pirates topped off with a damsel who is running away from arranged marriage.
The book overall was an ok kind of read.

    Very good read.

This is my first book by this author. The book has 314 pages plus. The story was adventurous. It was romantic but could have had more romance. The male was an alpha male which i love. I would have liked much of the ending to have happened earlier in the story.

    Holy! You have a gift!
Hmm. Lindsay is hilarious being so dumb but Mike is awesome. I say Mike, but it's your story. I just think it'd be kinda funny having Mike freak out about Zoey.

CAPTURED a total drama fanfic ch. 3

    (Input=great! Keep it up!)
Zoey's Pov <I surveyed the group quietly; there were so few of us, where was everyone going?
I jumped as someone put a hand on my back, but relaxed as I realized that it was Mike.
"We sould all stick together in groups of at least three," he stated.
Gwen nodded, "good idea."
Brigette spoke up, "I know this idea might be akward, but we should all stay in the same cabin, safety in numbers."
"That's a good idea Brigette," I tried to keep the fear out of my voice.
She smiled, "thanks-"
Heather interrupted her, "Ok, the groups will be: Me, Jo, and Brick. Zoey, Mike, Noah and Lindsay. Gwen, Brigette, Sierra, and Trent," she glared at us, "no complaints."
We all wisely kept quiet. There was nothing to do but wait.
Gwen's Pov
Shivers crept up my spine as we walked to the cabins. The day was getting worse and worse.
"Are you ok?" Zoey looked at me closly, "you look pale."
"I already am pale," I pointed out.
"No, paler then usual."
"Gee, thanks," we reached the cabins and entered one of them after quickly colecting food and out bags. After the last camper filed in, Heather locked the door.
"We should take a head count!" Sierra said, "then I can update my blog with the remaining campers."
"Don't be silly, we couldn't have lost anyone-" I stopped, "where's Trent?" He was no where to be seen.
"One, two, five, seven, nine, ten," Zoey glanced around the room, "he's not here."
Mike put a hand on her shoulder, "it's ok-" he inhaled sharply, "back in my day we didn't take head counts! It was every man for himself!"
I sighed, things couldn't get worse if they tried.
Brigette's Pov
At some time or another, everyone has to go to the bathroom, In this case me. After collecting two other campers, Zoey and Sierra, I made my way out of the cabin. Every little sound made us jump, even the tap of Sierra texting on her phone. It was a relief to finally reach the bathroom.
"We should go in together," Zoey decided, "I don't want to stay out here alone."
Sierra and I agrred and we entered the room. It appeared to be empty, and we took turns gaurding the door. It wasn't until we were watshing or hands that chaos broke loose. There was a creak of the door and hissing sound. I whirled around, my eyes widening in horror, before everything went black.
Mike's Pov
My heart pounded, the girls hadn't returned for quite a while. I was about to say something when the speakers crackled on.
"Campers, this is sad, there are only seven of you left," I gasped as it continued, "this is too easy."
Bum Bum Bum...Rate/review! Also, you have a choice to make...should Mike or Lindsay be the last non-captured camper? Remember, so far we have: 1 boy and 2 girls. 1 original and 2 ROTI. 1 neither pro or antagonist and 2 antagonists. Next chapter will be next result, keep an eye out!

    Fun

but not believable. Worth suspending reality for a fun story with well developed characters.

    This book was so boring.

By half-way through this book I was ready for it to end. The best thing about the book was that the cover matched the story. The hero was dark and cranky.

    Old time swashbuckler

I really enjoyed this book. It reminded me of the old 1950's swashbuckling pirate movies, but with a little more sex. There's romance, adventure, a bit of mystery, and generally good writing. It's nice to read a romance in which the characters actually change and develop throughout the story.
