Though not as well known as Bunny Wailer or Dennis Brown, Lucky Dube is a first-class reggae champion who commands a loyal following. The South African singer, whose music illustrates the power and effectiveness of simplicity, isn't one to jump on trends. While other reggae singers have incorporated elements of dancehall and hip-hop, Dube wisely sticks with the type of basic, simple reggae that made him popular to begin with.
