Overview

Coen Steele has spent the last five years serving his country. Now that he's back, he's finally ready to leave behind the chaos of the battlefield and pursue his lifelong dream. What he wasn't expecting was the feisty sister of one of his battle buddies—who has made it obvious that she wants nothing to do with him—to intrigue him in a way no woman has before.

Reagan Hudson's life changed in the blink of an eye six years ago when she found out she was pregnant and on her own. Since then, Reagan has vowed never to let another man into her life so that no one can walk out on her, or her son, again. But the more she runs into her brother's hot and mysterious friend, the more he sparks something in her that she promised herself she wouldn't feel again.

Can two people with everything to lose allow themselves to finally capture the love they both deserve?

Loved it! .......... After a devastating break up with her high school love, Reagan has spent the last six years raising her son, Parker, and not letting anyone get close to them for fear of being hurt. Coen has just gotten out of the military and is settling into civilian life and pursuing his dream of being a professional photographer, while dealing with the emotional demons that haunt him from his time while serving. Emotional. Exhilarating. Beautiful. Heartbreaking. Those are just a few words I would choose to describe Capturing Peace. I really don’t know how Molly does it (and if you’re reading this Molly, I freakin’ love you!). Every emotion that Coen, Reagan, Parker and the others felt just flew right off the pages– every laugh, every cry, every heartbreak. It was as if I were experiencing it right along with them. Coen - haunted, talented, fascinating. Reagan – fierce, loyal, determined to protect her son. I just can’t even tell you how much I loved their story. You will have to experience it for yourself, but I will tell you that you won’t be disappointed.

Molly does it again... Nailed it! The two main characters are damaged from something in their pasts. Without giving too much away --- there are struggles, with some good times. It was raw. Absolutely loved it. Go into this read knowing some of it is hard to read, but once you get to the end... the emotional roller coaster it put you on was worth it!

Capturing Peace was my first Molly McAdams book and I will definitely be adding her to my Authors to snatch up list!  I really loved the writing style and the way Capturing Peace really hooked me in right away and whisked me on an emotional journey.  Coen and Reagan (and the rest of the characters too) really resonated with me and I am still thinking about parts of this book days later (those photographs!) Capturing Peace tells a beautiful story about how people are able to move past the trauma in their past and learn to trust that the future is whatever you have the courage to reach out and grab.  Coen is a man that isn't afraid to grab what he wants and he earned a place on my Book Boyfriend list!  Reagan wasn't looking for a relationship and was adamantly against letting a man in her life, so the struggle, persistence and care Coen took to get let into her and Parker's life was a great experience. I love a book that is easy to fall into and get wrapped up in all the characters and Molly McAdams delivers with this start to a new series!  I really enjoyed Capturing Peace and can't wait to see what happens in Sharing You when the series continues in June. If you have never read a Molly McAdams book (like me) then you are in for a treat!  Capturing Peace captures you with the powerful emotions, the romance and a love story that will make you heavy sigh (if not choke up a bit).  Molly McAdams is definitely an Author to add to your TBR pile.  If you are a Molly McAdams fan then you know all this already and will fall in love with Coen and Reagan for sure!

It should say 5,000 stars!! Molly has done it again. Capturing my heart and taking me on an emotional roller coaster ride that I can't seem to come down from! Coen is a soldier. In every aspect of the word. He has seen and lived through things we cannot even imagine...yet there may be someone who can. Reagan is just a girl. A girl with a past. A strong, stubborn and amazing girl who has experienced more life in her 22 short years than most do in a lifetime. Will they be able to come together and find peace? I don't know, she is just a girl covered in coffee. READ THIS BOOK!! If for no other reason than if you are human and not a robot, you will fall in love with every single word.

When her jerk of a boyfriend leaves her in high school because she wouldn't get an abortion, Reagan immediately learns that men leave. She has the baby (a boy - Parker) and life revolves around him from that moment on. She is a strong, independent woman and the father figure in her son's life is her older brother. Coen is a friend of her brother's now retired from the Army and pursuing photography full time. Coen and Reagan's first meeting doesn't go off too hot as they're both headed to lunch with her brother and when she realized her brother set her up, she leaves, furious. Another run in at the park while Parker is playing and the sparks fly even more. Reagan and Coen come to an understanding at first and decide to just hang out and get to know each other better. Even though their friendship blossoms, they both must deal with their fears. For Coen, it's his PTSD. For Reagan, it's of Parker's reaction to if the relationship doesn't work and Coen steps out of their lives for good. When I started this book, I immediately sided with Reagan and saw just how strong and determined that she was. When Coen broke through her walls, I hope that he would let her help him break his own walls down and by the end of the book... I was a blubbering mess. This was the perfect book to start the Sharing You series.
