    Classic MacLean!

I read many Alistair MacLean books when I was younger, and am happy to see them as nookbooks! This is a classic: nobody is ever what they seem in the beginning, and all is explained at the end. In between, a good adventure story with a few twists.

A weak plot with an even weaker ending

This MacLean offering just never got off the ground for me. Apart from the chase in Les Baux, the rest of the action, particularly the bullring scene in Mas de Lavignolle lacked any believability. Don't let this be your first MacLean novel -- he is better than this.
