Eric D. Grassman
This is the third edition of a comprehensive book oncardiac catheterization. The purpose is to provide the fundamentalsof cardiac catheterization for fellows-in-training and nurse/technicianprofessionals. Its pocket size is very helpful and convenient. Theobjectives have been met with this practical handbook. It isintended for cardiology fellows and nurse/technician professionals, according to the editor, who is a renowned invasive cardiologist. Itcovers equipment, indications, angiography, hemodynamics, and EPS. Itincludes some special discussions about angiographic tips for difficultlesions. It also has an excellent glossary and x-ray identification ofprosthetic valves. Although the editor describes this book as notall-inclusive, I think it is a very comprehensive review ofcatheterization laboratory techniques for a handbook. It has receivedhigh praise from a leader in the field, Dr. WilliamGrossman.
