This book on cardiac electrophysiological mapping covers various aspects of cardiac mapping from the history to new technological developments. The contributors are experts in the field; many of them, in fact, are world-renowned. The purpose is to provide current information on cardiac electrophysiological mapping. The editorial comments by various experts are meant to give a general state-of-the-art overview and possibly to generate new ideas for future development. The audience is not clearly stated. However, because of the complexities of this field, I believe that the target audience should be basic and clinical cardiac electrophysiologists. The contributors are the biggest strength of this book. The pictures are excellent; some of them are even in color. The references are pertinent and current. This is an excellent book on cardiac mapping. I highly recommend it to basic and clinical cardiac electrophysiologists.
